I’ve have been eyeing this box for months now, and let me say worth every penny. I have 4 84in tool vaults at work the company purchased and have been impressed with them as the guys are not gentle with them. So now that I’ve finally outgrown the HF Special at the house I decided for get one for myself. The customer service was outstanding and within 12 hours my box was already shipping my way. It only took roughly 5 days, 2 of those being the weekend to arrive. It was packaged tight, even the driver had commented about it as he’s dropped big name brand boxes off with nothing more but cardboard over them. Everything operates smoothly and it rolls around very easy. Construction is great and it just feels solid. Highly recommend for home or professional use. Will be purchasing again in the future.

I have been dealing with this company for years now and will remain a loyal customer due to the following reasons:
Their customer service is amazing. When my ToolVault box arrived it had a wooden box/crate built around it to protect it but the carrier had apparently still managed to driven a Forklift through the box and push a fork into one of the drawers. It wasn’t very noticeable until we opened it and thankfully I had followed advice and opened it with the carrier present and was able to get strictlytoolboxes on the phone immediately, sent them a pic and they found multiple ways to solve the problem and asked me which of these options would work best. Strictlytoolboxes and Sweetwater music are the only companies on this level. It is the number one reason I choose to buy from them both.
They use high quality materials. Look at the guage of metal they use in their channels, frame, and the overall weight of their boxes. I have the GatorBuilt 55″ by 25″ deep at work and the ToolVault 72″ by 25″ deep at home in my garage and my son has the ToolVault Elite 84″ by 30″ deep which uses 16 guage. If it’s within your budget the 84″ Elite with the top hutch is the best toolbox they make.

This is a well built and robust toolbox. The lock operates very smoothly and easily. The large casters let it move around with little effort. Having only four casters on it helps it to get into tight places or right up against walls or equipment. It has plenty of room and then some. I’ve been working almost exclusively at a mill as an electrician and industrial mechanic, and that is where I keep this. I’ve got cordless tools, combination wrenches, sockets, hand tools, a deep cut bandsaw, and wire label printers stored in it, and still have more space to fill. It’s so nice not having to haul my tools in and out from the truck every week, and I’m making fewer trips for that oddball tool as I continue to add to the tool box.

I had two easily remedied issues with it. First, the non-steering casters were not lined up straight. While pushing the box straight forward, it would drift to the left. All I had to do was loosen the mounting bolts on the casters, twist them straight, and tighten the bolts again. Second, the bolts provided for attaching the handle are M6 x 12mm. That is just barely long enough to bite and hold the handle on. On top of that, the holes in the handle are slotted, so a washer really should be used under the bolt head, but the 12mm bolts are too short to use with a washer. I got some 16mm long bolts and they are just the right length to fully engage the nuts.

I don’t know if this is taboo or not, but I added a shelf on the end of the box opposite the handle for extra storage, a light, and a vacuum. The spacing on the mounts for it wound up being just right to get the blind rivets in the structural tubing inside the corners and avoid the locking mechanism. I will eventually add a drop-leaf shelf under the handle, too.

If you’re on the border between this and a tool truck box, then this is definitely the box for you. Plenty of space, a really nice working height, fit and finish is what I expect from “better” brands, and shipping was super fast.

I put a lot of thought into this tool box before purchasing. I checked the layout measurements and compared it to my tools and my needs, even going as far a drawing out where and how my tools would go. The layout measurements they have are spot on and this box is beyond what I actually figured it would be for the price. The drawers do not wobble, they do not sag when loaded down, and they pull out and push in very smooth without any snagging. The liners included in the drawers stick to the bottom and do not slide around from opening and closing and keep all the tools where you laid them. The locking system works that when locked, it slides tabs up and in front of the drawer slides which I personally like better than hooking from the back, it also will not allow you to lock it unless every drawer is completely shut. The box also comes with paperwork that has all spare part numbers if any future item needs replaced. I did not purchase the stainless top and it came with the rubber top that is about 3/8 inch thick and sets perfectly on top without any movement. I did end up regretting not getting the stainless top just as a personnel preference, I emailed and I was able to purchase the top separately, I just had to cover shipping since I did not purchase it with the toolbox. All in all this box holds itself against any major tool competitor. Do not waste years of weekly payments on a tool box off the trucks, this is a purchase that I guarantee you will not regret.

If you’re lookin for a toolbox that’s not a snap on, but better than u.s. general; I present to you Gatorbuilt. Paint on outside is amazing. Slides are all smooth, latching handles are satisfying. I was taught that the tool box didn’t matter, but that the tools inside do. This box fits that ideology perfectly. Highly recommend this box

So first off let me give you a little background. I’ve been a mechanic in multiple fields for 11 years. I’ve owned probably 8-10 toolboxes over that time, from U.S. General tool cart to a Snap-On Classic 55”. I’m very OCD about my tools and tool box, and I do a ton of research before I buy anything. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything about this tool box on the internet, even on the popular GarageJournal.com. But it’s no secret that Strictly Toolboxes and it’s brands put out a quality product for the price they ask, and with rumored quality customer service (which I personally came to experience do to a misunderstanding on my end, yet they still fixed it) I finally decided after hours of research on multiple boxes to take the leap with not only ordering a toolbox that I’ve never seen in person, but buying from Strictly Toolboxes. The shipping was quick for freight to Colorado (less than 10 business days if I recall). The box was packaged very well. Overkill, which is great in my opinion. I highly recommend wearing gloves as they recommend or you’ll cut yourself on the metal tabs, in a rush I didn’t, and cut my fingers a few times. Also recommend at least 1 friend or coworker help you remove box from pallet. Anyway the box arrived undamaged. So I went on to using it for about 2 months now daily in a diesel technician environment. The powder coating seems to be in the higher end of the spectrum, not the strongest I’ve seen, but light years above anything else in the price range. I already have one small chip on front of box due to an idiot coworker letting large axle fall into box. No dent though so that’s good. I’ve easily already opened the top 3 drawers 1000+ times with no signs of any issues to ever happen for a long time. The top drawer has reinforced gussets on the bottom. I think the other 2 long drawers do as well (can’t remember I’m at home and haven’t looked since I bought). The drawer slides are all equal quality to my old snap on box so no complaints their either. The only complaint I have and I plan on warranting the drawers eventually when it gets noticeably worse is the latching system when pulled to open drawers rubs the top rail of the drawer you’re opening and already shows tiny wear/scratch marks. It’s just me being anal but to others who are like me it’ll bother you. I did buy the optional stainless steel too. It’s nice, not magnetic unfortunately like my Snap-On one, but hey it was almost a tenth of the price. I eventually plan on paying to get the top bed lined professionally. I wish they would make the hutch again. I would buy in an instant. Anyway buy the box, it’s awesome for the money, and in my opinion no other brand touches the overall quality, layout, and price.

Sold my snap on 72″ bc I couldn’t pass up the offer… Put alot of thought into a new toolbox and decided on the lime green one of these bad boys… It feels sturdier that. My snap on it has the middle casters wich I like… The drawer latches are awesome and more user friendly… The drawers are deeper in height that my old snap on Wich is why I chose this one… The rubber liners and mat on top are good quality… Once I transfer all my tools over will write another review… Over all very impressed with quality of this box and an outstanding customer service and communication through the whole process

Really good toolbox for the money. I like the height, it gives you a nice and comfortable workbench. All drawers close and open smooth. Plenty of space with a good setup. Working as a tech I have to roll my tool box around the shop and this one is really easy to move. Nothing to complain next to a snap on box. Excellent customer service and shipping

This toolbox is wicked dope. The detents are strong and doesn’t allow drawers to slide when moving the box. Customer service is Awesome as well I wasn’t able to schedule a delivery date or time with fed ex. I reached out to customer service and within the hour I they sent and email with who to contact to schedule my appointment. FedEx did miss the appointment due to lack of drivers but was able to revive it the next day. Driver understood I needed to inspect it. I loaded this tool box up over the corse of the day moving tools from my old harbor freight box to this one. There’s plenty of room ans drawers are deep. The foam top it comes with is solid as well I flipped it over so I have a surface to write on and it’s perfect. Awesome box and awesome company. I have told everyone in my shop about this and the product is high quality. Thank you all very much.

Take care of your toolbox and it will last you until it pays itself and longer. I’m so glad I got this unknown brand before a snap-on or matco. Definitely the Best Buy for the weight it supports and the size of the drawers. Excellent communication and service ! These gents and ladies really care about what they sell and about the buyer.

This is a great toolbox. I got mine in December and it got dropped off when it was snowing outside. The driver was a jerk and gave me grief when I told him that i had to inspect it. Long story short, it got dropped off and inspected and had no blemishes. First off, this thing is a beast. Heaviest box i’ve ever had. It replaced 2 HF rollaway and top boxes and had a little room to spare. Drawers are tight and heavy duty. I wish you guys made garage wall cabinets, I’d buy them right now.
