I recently purchased an 84” Tool-Vault tool chest with matching hutch. I had looked at the “top of the line” tool chests from the tool truck guys. This unit is every bit as solidly made with heavy duty parts and a very easy to operate locking drawers. The total weight of the unit with hutch is around 1500 lbs. This will outlast me and will be handed down to the next generations. The people at Strictly Toolboxes are superb and very helpful with support both before and after the sale and delivery. I paid less than half of a heavily discounted 84” tool chest only from the tool truck guys. I whole heartedly recommend this brand of tool boxes.

These boxes are the best bang for your buck if you’re wanting a new unused box. They are about the same quality as the Master Series from the leading manufacturer. The drawers slide easily whether empty or full and after 3 years works as new. The Hobo Freight accessories are similar colors and work pretty well with it. I’d highly recommend the ICON hutch light- ive got 2 installed and it works perfectly. The only only downsides are the powder coating is pretty soft and easily scratches and the shelf sucks where it’s able to be installed. I installed new nutcerts to install mine lowered and it looks and works better to hide chargers, power strips and other unsightly junk.

I’ve been an industrial Maintenance Technician (cnc machine repair)for over 13 years. I’ve always looked at the top brand tool boxes and I finally decided it was time to get my lifetime box. Upon searching I came across tool vault toolboxes. I was impressed with the specs and reviews and the price was very reasonable for the quality of box I seen in the specs. When my box arrived I couldn’t believe how well it was crated up. The crate was so well built and it was in absolute perfect condition. I opened up the box and I couldn’t believe the size of a 55×30 elite box. This thing is serious. The 30 inch depth is hard to picture until you actually have it there in front of you. This box is built to withstand a nuclear war. The casters roll flawlessly on our concrete floors and the wheel locks keep that box perfectly still. The drawers are the heaviest duty and sturdy that you will ever see in your life. To say the least, I’m totally impressed and extatic about my purchase. I’d highly recommend tool vault to anyone who works out of a tool box every day and I know you’ll be just as pleased as I am.

I am not a professional mechanic, but more of an extreme DIY / Hobbyist / Woodworker.

First off, I want to give a big thank you to the folks over at Strictly Toolboxes. They were super helpful, and friendly to talk to. The box shipped out the day I ordered it and arrived a day later. I was so excited when the box arrived that I actually called them afterwards just to thank them and tell them how awesome it was.

I wanted to wait at least 6 months before submitting a review, to make sure the new car smell had worn off. Every day I love this box more and more. It’s been absolutely perfect for housing all my tools. I was initially planning on purchasing the 54″ box, and I’m so glad I went with the 72″. What a difference it is going from a 22″ deep box to a 30″. I can put a 24″ long rachet in the narrow drawers with plenty of room to spare. The drawers were tough sliding in and out the first month, but after they were all lubed up, loaded with tools and opened and closed a bunch, they’ve been perfect. The depth of the drawers are perfect for my tools. The only bad thing I can say, is that buying this toolbox was a bit of a gateway drug that forced me to upgrade and add a lot of new tools ;-). My buddy, who has spent over $148k with a certain truck brand of tools was absolutely shocked at the quality for the price.

You will not regret it if you purchase this box!

Guys, I’ve had my 72” for a couple weeks now. I absolutely freaking love this thing. It is every bit of the toolbox my Mac Macsimizer was back in the day, at a fraction of the cost. The only thing I’d change, I’d love to have a hutch for it some day. I’ve had a ton of compliments from customers as well. Thanks for the amazing tool box!

These boxes are by far the strongest I’ve owned. I had to move by 84 inch with 2 lockers on it with a tow truck. Loading and unloading the box was riding on 4 casters with the box full of tools. It didn’t buckle or bend at all.

This box has been awesome for me, everything is still very smooth and the paint is tough, I am not worried about leaning (not slamming) semi and trailer tires on it. I have one small ding in it from air hammering rivets out that shot across the shop and wacked it but didn’t go through the paint. Very very pleased with the purchase. Perfect height for comfortable working at being 6’6”.

Without a doubt, this is a gorgeous toolbox and every bit as functional as its’ aesthetic appeal. Shipping was perfect and there was no damage to the crate. My only nitpick is the stainless steel top. As a diesel mechanic this was a necessity when picking my tool box but on the first day I had it, I had a wrench slip off a stubborn air fitting on a piggyback (brake chamber) and ding the bench surface. Not what I was expecting because my old Snap-On stainless steel top would only lightly scratch when similar or worse things happen. This made me realize that Tool Vault only uses a thin sheet of stainless to cover a softer particle board, or so I assume. Having to work on heavier parts like assembling Hydraulic Pumps and PTOs will also mean I have to take precautionary steps in the future, like some quarter inch rubber matting, to disperse the occasional impact that can happen in order prevent anymore dents and dings. All said and done, if you’re not working with a 20k plus budget for a toolbox, this one is every bit worth buying.

I started off just wanting some added storage on my snap on classic box, never really liked the box that much for the cost but still figured id hang on to it and add a hutch and locker. After learning my snap off guy wanted 10k for a hutch and locker and months of waiting for them i started searching for alternatives even the icon boxes. After weeks of searching and no answer in sight i come across 802 diesel youtube channel and watch all his reviews of the tool vault box. I then decided for the price im gonna go with it and if i dont like it i will send it home to be my new home box. The box arrived exactly a week later after a journey cross country and upon assembly i quickly realized this box is built, the first thing that caught my eye is the bottom of the box being structural and flat so you can move this box with a forklift if needed where the snap on boxes have rolled edges so if you try you crush them. These drawers are very well constructed the only worry i have is the detent slides, i think the box could be better with latching handles but the detents are very tight holding so i will see how they hold up over time. It definitely makes you feel good when your coworkers with master series or epiq boxes come and check it out and are amazed at what grade of box you get for under 7k. I do wish there were more color options so i could match it to my cart but the orange looks good

I have had this toolbox for over a year and have to say it is worth it. this is only the second toolbox I have owned but I didn’t want to keep buying a new box every few years so I bought this one, and when I run out of room I will buy the hutch and side cabinets. But to sum it up this is the best box out there, it is just as good as the matco and snap on tool boxes for almost a 1/4 of the price.

I had my reservations, but decided to give it a try anyway. very helpful staff, packaging and instructions for delivery very awesome. no damage and everything works great. I have been using this box for about 7 months. I have really enjoyed working with this box. I am not really thrilled by stainless steel work top, but it works fine, I wish it was a little thicker, I dropped a heavy tool on it from about 3 feet above top, and managed to Ding the top, but it was definitely my own fault.. On second thought, the work top did its job and protected the rest of the toolbox, so I really am happy with it. I love the smooth drawer pulls. I have to remind myself to open the drawer fully to utilize “ALL” of the drawer. still trying to get over using a thinner 18″ drawer for too many years. I like the spring loaded casters, definitely makes a difference when I have to move box building to building. I would recommend this box to anyone looking for quality, sturdiness, reliability, and value. And I never thought all four of those words would go together.

I purchased a used Snap On classic 78 a couple of years ago. A few weeks ago, I decided I would sell it and purchase a Tool Vault box after reading many reviews on the stb website as well as on garagejournal.com. about one year ago, I had emailed Shannon and received a lot of great information and I felt it was a good time to get something that will be more box than I will ever need, while saving many hundreds of dollars over the Snap On toolbox. I enjoyed the deep 24″ drawers on my other toolbox and I was unsure how the 18″ depth would be for me. As it turns out, for me being a home hobbyist the lack of depth doesn’t create an issue. I also changed how I had my tools organized and I have three drawers still unused and need to be filled up. I don’t mind the stiff detents on the drawers. If I ever do have to move my box I know my drawers will stay shut. Shipping was perfect with liftgate service. I had no damage to the packaging and it took me about 20 mins to put the casters on working by myself and taking my time. I heard from my team that our existing tool boxes we had in fab were in need of replacement. I was not involved with the purchase of our last tool boxes 5 years ago. First off, I’m a full time heavy line technician at a busy honda dealership. I don’t take care of my tools. I work fast as a flat rate tech, and beat the piss out of every tool I use to fix engines. Including this box which I have not one complaint about. NOT ONE. When this tool box arrived I was very surprised at the quality. Opposite my toolbox on the other side of the wall pictured, is a snap-on box of roughly equivalent size and structure. The diffrence between the quality of those toolboxes is no contest. The tool vault tool box is much sturdier. The locking mechanisim is impressive compared to the snap-on box. The snap-on box you can almost pull the drawers out a full inch if you pull hard enough, and you can see the welds on the front of the drawers through the paint. Nothing like the thick construction and paint on the tool vault tool box. The best part is, the owner of the snap-on box paid FOUR TIMES as much as I did. Other technicians in the shop where jealous to the point of anger too see the quality they could have purchased (without getting ripped off by the major local tool sales reps). But they already bought their boxes, and paid too much. I know it’s tough to make a decision without putting your hands on what you’re buying. No joke, you won’t be sorry. This is a good company trying to make a name for themselves. Be smart. Buy from strictlytoolboxes. Don’t pay for the tool salesmans vacation to cancun. Twice.

I needed a larger tool box and, while looking around, I eventually found Strictly Toolboxes. I heard very good things about these guys and their products. I must have called them five times, and they remained helpful and friendly. I finally settled on this 56″ Tool Vault cabinet and put in the order. Shipping was fast, the packaging was very good. The box was strapped down to a wood shipping pallet, very secure and well-covered with cardboard. The cabinet is quite well made. The drawers are solid-feeling and operate smoothly. Even the full-width topmost drawer is stable and has four steel stiffeners welded across the bottom. You can load this big drawer up with heavy tools, should you want, and it will be fine. The six casters are of good quality, ball-bearing type with grease fittings. The paint and fit and finish are great, very nice look and feel. I am quite happy with this tool box and would recommend it to anyone

Waited four years of abuse to write this review. Back story “professional technician” working at a dealership sometimes 6 days a week. Four years later this thing has held up amazing. Everyone at the shop is impressed even the tool truck drivers. If your starting out get one of these, don’t be tool box poor. Put that money into buying tools. You can trade up later for hardly any money loss. You won’t do that because this thing is fantastic. Plus you may decide this isn’t the career for you and you don’t have much invested into a metal shell. Watched many new guys come and go selling a toolbox for 1/4 of what they paid off the truck. If your experienced get one of these they are built tough and last. Put money into other interists. My only regret is not buying the larger and deeper version.

I’m super stoked for this toolbox. Build quality was great. The delivery went smooth with no hiccups. I was a little nervous about the unboxing since there is a nine page email about how to do it and what to look for. However that was really no big deal. The only thing was the silver matte drawer handles seemed just slightly off in the presentation of the tool box. So we vinyl wrapped the trim with 3M carbon fiber wrap. cost about $25. GREAT LOOKING BOX, THAT LOOKS EVEN BETTER NOW, in my personal opinion. I think I’m going to buy the 72″ as well for shop tools.

I was shopping around for a tool box so i can put all my expensive goods in, so ask few of my coworkers about which toolbox will be a good choice snap-on, mac or matco then one of my coworker who also bought one from here said i should check out strictlytoolboxes.com , i then was snoopy around until i saw this 56′ that fits me, so i placed a order about a week the box arrived at my work place and everyone was jealous on how nice it is and asked how much i paid, i told them i didn’t pay more than 4 grand for sure, im pretty happy with my purchase, this site should be the first thing on your list if your new or a veteran mechanic looking for that new box.

I spent over a year looking at the strictly tool boxes website before I decided to take the leap of faith and purchase it. With all the positive reviews regarding the box I felt comfortable with my purchase. The toolbox arrived on time and the packaging was top notch. Not a scratch or a ding to be found and the tool box is extremely sturdy. I work as a diesel mechanic and all of the other techs I work with were blown away at the quality and the value of this box. I will say this its not up to par with a snap-on box, but is extremely sturdy and the outer walls are just as thick as snappy. For the price it blows harbor freight and craftsman boxes out of the water, you honestly can’t even compare those boxes to this one. I will be buying the upper portion to this box at a later date and if they decide to come out with a hutch for this model tool box I would probably get that over the top box. I would recommend this toolbox to anyone out there who is on the fence about getting it. The the price and the quality of this box you can’t go wrong.

In a time where mostly everything is over-priced junk, its nice to find something affordable and nice. The toolbox is sturdy and durable. It has so much room its amazing. With the weight I thought I would never be moving it around my shop but the wheels are so smooth that this roles better loaded than my old 26 inch cab. I bought this for the company but I will definitely be buying one for myself. Highly recommend! Must buy!

I ordered the 56″ bottom tool box after doing a lot of research and i am very impressed with it. It shipped the same day i ordered it, i was contacted to let me know it was shipped and what to do when it arrived. Was very well crated to prevent damage during shipment. The quality of box was extremely good, as good as the high priced toolboxes from some of the tool company’s but at a great price. I will be ordering the top box to go on this soon so i can get rid of the other boxes that i have now. I would highly recommend this to anyone from home amateurs to full time mechanics. .

Did A LOT of searching for a replacement tool chest. Even purchased one from one of the big tool box stores. After getting it home and trying it, I quickly realized it was not for me! Too small and twice the cost of this tool vault, not to mention none of the ones I looked at could compare in quality to the tool vault!! Spoke at length with the guys from Strictly tool boxes. I purchase a 56″ ToolVault roller cabinet based on the reviews I found here and on some garage organization forums. I was replacing an old 26″ inch craftsman toolbox. My son and I ride dirt bikes and I needed something bigger to accommodate the growing number of tools used to maintain them. This tool box is way overkill for what I will ever need. This thing is professional quality. However, in comparing this to some of the box brands available at the local chains, purchasing the ToolVault was a simple decision. The quality received vs the relatively minor additional cost is well worth it. When this thing arrived I was surprised at the quality of the packaging and the heft of the box. The only think I didn’t really like was that the stainless steel top upgrade moved around on top of the toolbox. It is slightly smaller than the top of the cabinet and there was not enough friction to keep it from moving 1/8-1/4 of an inch when leaning against it. Since I am going to use this as a workbench it was annoying. I called and they suggested putting a couple of lag screws through the top of the chest into the underside of the stainless steel top. I did this and now the top does not move at all. The stainless steel top is pretty solid and looks like it will last years. It almost looks too nice to use. I would recommend this chest to anyone. Perfect tool box for me. Holds all my bigger tools as I work mainly out of a roller cart. Strictly was very easy to work with and I hope they make a hutch for this toolbox so because I would purchase it the minute it came out. From the color blue to the strong 900lb spring loaded wheels to the strong quality and feel of the paint job on the locker. This locker has the best of both worlds, enough storage space especially with the 30 inch depth to put whatever tools on the shelves or even in the three drawers. They thought of everything when they built this locker, a door that is reversible for either side of your tool box and the handle will go on either side. It also has good quality liners. I just cant stop there, this thing is so nice I have to get the other locker for the other side of my toolbox just because “I got to have it”… If you buy one you will know what I’m talking about !!! I don’t like buying big purchases online without seeing and or putting my hands on it first, but I took the leap and bought the 84″ Elite with both side lockers and I am so glad I did. They did show up 3 days late, but Fed EX short handed, nothing to do with Strictly, anyways, get plenty of people when the toolbox shows up because heavy is an understatement. The tool box, top and cabinets were all really well packaged and delivered, no issues so far as damage. The quality of paint, materials used and finishes are incredible. I’ve never seen a stainless top like this, and I’ve owned Snap on and Matco, the drawers are solid, smooth and close really nice, liners are top notch, cabinets are huge and the hutch is massive. After 30 years of wrenching, all my stuff fits perfectly. Had to modify (lower) hutch shelf to accommodate 27″ monitor but works like a dream. Thank you so much for making the Snap On dealer speechless when he saw my new box that he couldn’t even compete with.

I don’t do reviews at all and I’m not about to do some extended YouTube thing (even though there isn’t anything really out there about the newest and biggest Elite Series). So here it goes… Purchase: First, the purchase and process there in, was simple and easy through StrictlyToolBoxes. Now I don’t know if anybody else sells ToolVault but Strictly did a good job on the purchase… Not much to do besides take the order I guess. Could of done it on-line, but I like talking to a human. But after you make the purchase, that’s where the experience takes a leap. The communication via email and phone was nothing less than spectacular. They make things super simple and it’s all well laid out with great follow up. It all takes place pretty quick even… I like that part. There is no guessing. Shipping: Well, shipping sucked! But it had nothing to do with Strictly. It was all on FedEx. My TV 84″ Elite cab with hutch and side lockers went out the very next day after it was ordered. It had to go from Florida to Vegas. For some reason it got stuck in Albuquerque NM. In fact it was stuck there for a total of 4 days with nothing but excuses. They first told me a train broke down, the next guy on the next day said he doesn’t know what they were talking about with a train but that they were short on drivers, then the next guy blamed Covid (which is becoming the excuse for everything), and then I was told that somebody just didn’t get it on the truck. Anyway, I got the freight dropped at the house and it was in perfect condition. Strictly felt bad and refunded me $100 for my troubles which was unnecessary but very welcomed. The driver was helpful on delivery but I tipped him well. Packaging was crazy…. the tool box could have withstood a nuclear blast… Just know that you will be making a big trip to the dump if you go with their biggest and best as I did. It’s a lot…. have plenty of room to unbox and inspect. Now to the toolbox quality: I am going from a triple bank SnapOn Master Series to the ToolVault. They are literally side x side as I am still switching tools over. The slide mechanicals are probably better on the TV than on the Snap. I emptied out the top dual hinge drawer of the Snap and the TV was already empty. The Snap was loud and clunky compared to the TV. I was actually shocked at the difference. The new line of TV has the drawer long handles that hinges and unlocks the drawers to open. I REALLY like that compared to my Snap Master series. slide under the grab point of the drawer. The TV is quite nice. The sides of the both cabinets are pretty much the same. I do like the wheels on the Snap better, they seem to roll and work a little better. They are a different mechanism though. The TV is spring loaded and the Snap is a torsion type mechanism. The liners in every single drawer are outstanding and they even include liners for each shelf and drawer in the side cabinets. Over all, having the Snap right next to it… There is no way on this planet that I would switch back to Snap. The TV is better, in my opinion, than the Snap Master series. It may be more comparable to the Epiq line but I’m not sure. I will say that Snap has better bells and whistles. I have a Charge cabinet on my Snap that holds all my Milwaukee Fuel stuff. Nothing on the TV that will do that. Some stuff that I don’t like: The weight of this thing is insane. Just the weight of the Hutch is flat out crazy. Don’t get me wrong, I like that…. Love that. But They should let you know that a fork lift, a gantry crane or a shit-ton of friends are needed. Also, mounting the hutch after drilling holes is a stupid. The tops and roller cabinet should come pre-drilled and ready for install. I do wish the tool box, hutch and cabs had more bells and whistles, but then again this box from Snap, Cornwell or Matco is 20-24k. I guess I can put in my own bells and whistles with 14k i saved. Now as far as keys go… the literature says that if you want matching keys for everything, it’s a quick request after you get the tool box. Maybe it’s because I got their top box, but mine all came matched and ready to go. Nice little touch. Lastly, and sorry for the long review… I’m very tall 6’10” to be exact and I can put my chin on top of the hutch. Not really usable for me. I spent a day laying out and building a riser to put the hutch on. It’s now 11.5 inches taller off the box itself and actually usable for me. It’s not an easy project and without my gantry crane, I’m not sure how I would have gotten the Hutch on the riser… But it’s on and completely locked down. For those that are interested, I made the riser out of 1.25″ square tube. I’ll try and put a photo up. Understand that the inside of the riser will be lined with stainless to tie in to the toolbox’s top. It’s getting sheered, bent and installed in the next week. The entire set-up now has LED’s under the stainless hutch shelf, a 6′ outlet strip installed into the hutch’s back wall and power bars in each of the side cabinets. Still have to come up with a slick way to store my Fuel stuff (there is a lot) but for now I’m running them on the back of the hutch’s peg wall. In the pic, you can see an old HF box that stores odds and ends. You can’t see the Snap (its behind me). You can also see a big ugly led light hanging… that’s just temp until I mount something tricked out. The LED’s under the shelf can’t be seen as it’s two LED tape strips that are 6.5ft long each. They change colors… Woooowww! I hope this helps some of you.

Packaging The packaging top notch. They package these toolboxes well. The chest came packaged in a wooden crate on a pallet. Open the crate and then you have chest in a cardboard box wrapped in plastic. There are supports under the chest that prevent any sagging during shipping and around all the casters there are strips that would prevent rolling. The hutch is shipped on top of the chest and it too is packaged well. Plan to have help or some lifting equipment getting it off the chest because it is heavy. The lockers are also packaged well. I ordered two and they each came on a small pallet. Both of my lockers came sitting on the smaller pallets on one larger pallet. This made the unboxing a little challenging so you will need help getting the off the pallets. All in all, the unboxing took some time and wasn’t too bad just have help. Delivery I called the freight company as soon as I received the tracking information as instructed and they made my appointment and talked to me about any special situations they might encounter during the delivery. On the day of the delivery the driver called me about 30 minutes before arrival. My toolbox went into a detached shop and the driver backed down my driveway and right up to the roll up door. My toolbox came on two pallets and the driver unloaded them and put them in my shop. The delivery went smooth except for the inspection of the toolbox. Strictly Toolboxes tell you not sign to for the delivery until you have inspected the toolbox. The driver unloaded and was gone before I realized it. I didn’t sign anything. Lucky for me my toolbox wasn’t damaged at all. The Toolbox The quality of this toolbox is as good if not better than the Mac Tools toolbox that it’s replacing as my main toolbox. The assembly of all of it will require help lifting the hutch. The hutch is attached to the chest, so you have to drill through the stainless-steel top. To do this remove two screws found on the underside of the top. Reaching in the top drawer and feel a little left and right of center. The top was marked so drilling wasn’t difficult. The lockers come with a set of casters installed that help you get them into place before you lift and hang them. After you’ve completed the installation of the lockers the casters get removed. The handles and casters are strong, and liners are in every drawer of the chest and lockers. I did have to request two locks and they were sent out quickly.

Love my new box! Just like others have said “what a beast”. Wasn’t sure I would like the latch handles (kind a old school detent kinda of guy) but they work great. Better than my coworkers S***On plastic slide latch which come apart all the time. So much room! I just moved from a 56″ w/2 small side cabs and a hutch which was over flowing. Now my new setup looks kinda empty. Guess i will have to by more tools! I love the space behind the hutch just enough room for long power strip and hides all the cords. Everyone loves the ss top. The side cabs came with heavy duty shipping castors and spacers still took 2 guys and a jack to get them hug on the box.Oh and i lucked out w/side cabs being on back order they came left and right no flipping wheels and door as stated in instructions. All the keys matched except the hutch. A quick email will fix that. If i had one complaint it would be either some kind of door stay or bump guard on side doors as they tend to want to close themselves,not good when drawers are open. Don’t want to scratch inside of door. Again great box and great service.

This is my dream tool box.. I have been looking at these toolboxes for several years.. the steel has the same thickness as name brand boxes.. im waiting on the final piece (side locker). It shipped out fast, ordered on wednesday and recieved it friday morning. I would put this box up agianst any other tool box everyday of the week. Everyone at Strictly Toolboxes was nice and helped me thru the whole process. This is very well built. The hutch was easy to assemble. i wish the stainless top was pre drilled would be the only complaint.. I am very pleased with the product. I purchased this toolbox to expand and at fraction of the price. It’s a no brainer and you’ll save tons. Tool Box is built very sturdy. Paint looks very good, but treat it with care. Everything about the purchase is streamline with excellent customer service. The freight company also is cooperative with the process and friendly. Crate it comes in is pretty serious. You should really have a few people present to help during delivery inspection being that the crates are large and extra hands will make the process go quicker. The “tool guys” even like the product and are floored by its appearance and it’s price. I was also surprised when the box came with all the locks keyed the same.

After almost a decade, I had outgrown (out-tool’d?) my 60” ***simizer stacker. It worked great, but it was time to get more space. Seeing buddies at other shops basically take out mortgages for their big name/tool truck toolboxes, I looked around online for other options. Strictly Toolboxes popped up in one of my searches. A few nights of research and comparison and I had found my new box: The 84” Tool Vault Elite with hutch and side locker (TV-84Combo3). The color choice was simple: White. I spoke with Joe when I called. He answered every single one of my inane questions, and got me a bunch of info I didn’t even know! The customer service *before* the sale was absolutely awesome. About a week later, the tool box arrived. Everything is packed so amazingly well; the trucking company would really have to screw up to damage the container . It took a few hours to get everything together (2-person job minimum!). Once together, I was EXTREMELY happy! The toolbox is massive, but it will be staying in place. The white looks great in my shop, and most importantly- all my tools fit in it! The fit and finish is excellent. The welds are clean and the build quality is on par or better than the popular names. The tool swap took a while, but it was totally worth the time. Friends (mechanics and non-mechanics) have all complimented me on the toolbox; the finish on the stainless steel top is a big hit with everyone. My fellow race car mechanics that work in the industry won’t ever tell me they’re jealous, but….they did ask for the website name! Seeing comparable big name toolboxes upwards of $30,000, I can understand why professionals are filtering over to Strictly Toolboxes. Quality gear and great customer service, at a fraction of the price. Now that Strictly Toolboxes is offering financing, the tool truck companies are probably quakin’ in their boots! I’m not sure I’ll ever need to come back as this box will last me a very long time, but I will definitely be sending folks to the site for the best tool box deals out there. Thanks!

I work in the agriculture industry and as a service technician, I require a lot of tools to work on the equipment the dealership I work for provides support to. I saw the need for a big toolbox to store and hold my tools as they are an investment and how I get paid. Before I got this box I had the issue of running out of space and needing a more organized way of storing my tools. As all techs know the more downtime you have looking for the tool you need the less money you make. when I started pricing out toolboxes I talked to the four name brands and about keeled over at what some of them wanted for a box smaller than this box. so started looking online and found strictly toolboxes. looking around I found this combo and started looking and comparing it to the boxes I was interested in from the tool truck and I will admit this box blows the competition out of the water not only being 1/4 of the price compared to the competition but it is built stronger. Strictly toolboxes as a company is great I ordered my box on a Thursday night by that next day I received a call from the customer service notifying me that my box was being shipped that Friday. An almost never ending week later the tool box arrived I performed the inspection with the assistance of a coworker and the delivery person which as a tip three people is needed for this. the Shipping crate for the toolbox is almost as heavy built as the box. Assembly of the box is easy with the included instructions. I do recommend having a second hand when assembling the box as it is no small task lifting the heavy parts. After using the tool box for over a month I will say if you are looking for a big toolbox and are not for sure on buying this one. don’t hesitate as I did. this box is awesome. the drawers are smooth with just the right amount of friction. they even include different detents if you think that the pre-installed ones are to stiff for your taste. the overall layout of the drawers is for me as a heavy equipment tech perfect they are the right mix of sallow and deep drawers for my tools. the locker is perfect as well with a really deep drawer on the bottom and two shallow drawers above that. the shelves as well are great they are wide and deep and can hold anything you can think of. Finally the hutch I have always wanted a box with a hutch. and this hutch is perfect with the extra shelf I have all the storage I need. The three sides of the hutch with pegboard makes it fully customizable as I have peg hooks on the backside holding my large pry bars. Overall this box is a beast the height is perfect I’m 6’1″ and I’m shorter than the box. the stainless steel top is great being checkered board and textured. the height of the box makes using the tabletop as a desk perfect for working on the laptop. if I have to move the box it takes no effort to move it. I can’t say a bad thing about the box or strictly toolbox. The only thing is now I need more tools to fill the box and all the guys at work give me a hard time about it they say I could almost live in the thing. the tool truck guys have had a look at and all have good things to say about. To sum it up the greatest box ever.

I just have to say that I am highly impressed. I am an ex-tool dealer and find it very difficult to choke down the prices of tool boxes today. I wanted to upsize and quite frankly, I needed to. The comparable tool box in a name brand was $22k! Now granted, they were going to give me an inflated trade-in value on my toolbox. However, my new Tool Vault was only 25% of the name brand and I just sold my old toolbox, almost paying for the new one. I did a ton of research. I am the great skeptic. And for me, getting a good deal isn’t about a dollar amount. It’s about feeling like I received a good product for a reasonable price. I feel like I received a GREAT product for MORE than a reasonable price!

This toolbox is built just as heavy as the ones off the truck’s, having had several different tool boxes over the 27 years i’ve been in this, this box is every bit as good if not better. was a little skeptical about quality and not being able to see it in person, but that was put to rest as soon as it got delivered. shipping was fine no issues, i had it delivered right to my shop. I am very pleased with the quality of the tool box and will probably add a side locker or two . Thanks for a great product at a great price.

Best purchase I’ve ever made! Box came quick and in perfect condition. For the quality of box you get for the price is a no brainer! Just like the other reviews if you’re thinking of getting it just get it! The latching handles are nice and smooth the drawers are smooth once you work them a few times! 2 things I wish this tool box had, 1: better wood underneath the stainless steal top!, 2: some kind of power strip built in! Not gonna let those things ruin it though! I got 2 white magnetic power strips with fast charge USB ports on it have it on each side of the toolbox. Have some LED strips on the way to light up that nice big hutch..

Best Tool Box you can buy! Extremely heavy duty toolbox, beats my old Mac box by far. all my coworkers which own Macsimizer and Snap on tool boxes were surprised with the quality of it when it arrived. Customized mine with some vinyl wrap Motion activated hutch lights and drawer lights. the pegboard is super useful since you can bolt straight to the back. the drawers are 26″ deep and slide smooth forsure built to last!

I spent a lot of time looking at tool boxes this size I was concerned that this box would not be made as well that Snap On or Cornwell ext. I was wrong this massive toolbox is built as well if not better. Other guys in my shop that buy only big name tool boxes are impressed with how well it’s built. I placed the order on a Monday morning after talking to Tim the next Monday I received my box undamaged. If i would change a few things I would a power top would be nice, and the instructions for setting up the hutch are a little vague.

I had outgrown my Snap-On Master’s Series toolbox and was looking for a bigger toolbox. I had several options at that point. Do I buy another new Snap-On box off the truck, buy used, or invest in something else. I found Strictly Tool Boxes and went through the different boxes and their reviews. I found this 84×30 cabinet/hutch set and loved it. I was definitely skeptical at first of whether the quality would be up to par. After months of contemplating, I decided to buy my first Tool Vault box. I purchased it on a Saturday evening, and it showed up at my shop on the following Wednesday. The buying process was smooth and there were no unwelcome surprises. Customer service was great, and even contacted me first to let me know the box had shipped, and to call back with any questions. The toolbox arrived. I unpacked it and with the help of a coworker it was set up in about an hour. The tool box and hutch are amazing! It definitely has the potential to be the last toolbox I will need to purchase. If I need more room, there is the option of adding side lockers later. The drawers all operate smoothly, support all the weight of my tools, and everything seems sturdy. The matching mechanism works better than my Snap-On did. Several of my coworkers commented on how great it looked. Bottom line is this: if you’re on the fence about making the jump from a Cornwell / Snap-On / Mac / Matco box to a Tool Vault, my recommendation is to go for it. Your money goes so much farther!

If you are debating whether or not to purchase this toolbox all I can say is do it! I’ve had a lot of different tool tool boxes and this is every bit as good as some of the big name brands such as Snap On, Matco, Mac, etc. This thing weighs a ton and isn’t very easy to move which tells me it’s really heavy built. The drawer slides were my biggest concern since I have a lot of tools that weigh a lot and after loading the drawers down I noticed how well the slides were built. They only got smoother with weight. Overall I give this toolbox a 10/10 and I would definitely purchase another one in the future!

Went on site and read reviews. Decided to pull the trigger tired of the weekly payments with snap on. Tool box shipped and arrived fast and perfect condition seems really well built. Very happy with the quality of this toolbox. Came shipped undamaged Going from a 56” Snapon tool box and 56” Cornwall toolbox that were full of tools. It all fit nicely in the 84 “with room to spare. Solid tool box nice black finish drawers are solid as hell even after loading them up. Well worth the investment. Now I just need 2 side cabinets and will be set. My other tech has a new Matco box 54” and paid more for it than my giant box w/hutch. He’s a bit jealous. Very happy I purchased this.

Excellent toolbox combo. Wanted to combine my tools into one location and this was it. Double roller slides on large drawers and single on narrow. Handling weight of wrenches, sockets, and hammers no problem. Side lockers the same with predrilled holes for electrical or stereo hookup. Construction of tool box is exceptional and should last many years. Overall a winner.

This toolbox great and well worth the money fully. Before I bought this tool box I was very skeptical and not shore about it because I was not able to find one in person to see, I read countless reviews on it and well then I bought the box, I’ve owned it for about a year and a half I wanted to write a review after I got to use it for a while. So for I have not had a single problem with this box at all, I go in the draws countless number of times during the day and it holds up. The price is great for what you’re getting. Other brands you can spend triple the amount and don’t even get what you’re getting here. I’m very happy with this, the paint on the toolbox seems really good the one thing is that the end caps on the pull handles only one fell out no big deal just put it back in. The locks work really good to lock the box up, and the door on the side locker is reversible depending on what side of the tool box you would like to put it on I put it on right side of my box and the only thing was the decal was upside down, no biggy, down below I post a few pic of the box, the one pic is of the stainless steel top the top is cool but not a 1/8” thick stainless plat but it does look good. The other pic is of the tool box yes I mounted a cord real on it. The other pics are the draw supports and also the casters if you look at these casters and other brands they look almost identical and they lock really well. And also having casters on the side locker really make it nice. The last pic is the slides they are Heavy duty. Never had a single problem with them . So all in all yes buy this you will save a lot of money and you be just as happy and still have a lot of room for your tools. When I was buying this from strictly toolboxes everyone was cool to deal with.

First let me say I have been waiting for this for so long, I have had a 56″ top bottom and locker for a while now and it was time to get a bigger toolbox. of course after looking around all I could find is how much tool companys like to take advantage of techs. I couldnt even get a used tool box for this price, One of the hardest things for me to swallow was giving somebody this much money without having any reassurance that I would actually get my product. Well I sat on my hands for over a year before I finally made the decision to get it. When I called Shannon he answered all my questions and made everything seem so easy so I was alot more calm after talking to him and with a tracking number in my email I was at ease. I just waited about 5 working days ( ran over the weekend) when it showed up, it was packed better than I could have imagined so it took a while to get it broken down to do the inspection but lucky for me no problems and I was on my way. couldnt have been more impressed with the construction of this box. talkng about strong and rugged, this will truly be my last toolbox ever. maybe just add another locker down the road. Well with the money I saved I now can buy more tools which who dosent love doing that. LOL. I told all my coworkers to sell there overpriced boxes and get something that is just as good for a fraction of the cost. I did forget to mention one problem…….. It took forever to figure out how to get the top box on top of the bottom tool box, finally just put it on a two post lift and got it high enough to put up there. well theres not a whole lot to say but if it wasnt for this being a internet purchase Im sure more people would get these and montezuma would have a good corner in the market. I love this toolbox it is ablsolutely worth the money it is no joke. This thing is monsterous. I like every feature of it from the construction to the way the drawers slide and the amount each draw can handle. I have owned a ##%% on for the last 5 yrs and this thing is built better that that one. It even came with a stainless steel top that i was not expecting thanks. I questioned getting the locker but now that I have it a would not go without one it is so nice to hold all kinds of specialty tools that i dont have to take out of their boxes. Only problem I have with the tool box is I dont have enough tools to fill it up yet. I’m 6’7″ and i can barely see into the top drawers. Everyone at my shop is jealous and wish they would have saved thousands and bought the tool box that I did

I cant be happier with my tool cabinet! It quality compares to other company product that cost 3x as much. I only had this box almost for a month it is way better than I expected and I have absolutely zero issues with the entire unit, this is an excellent toolbox and for a great price. I have had a snap on krl with hutch and 2 lockers And in all truth this tool box is just as good and honestly has more room. Cabinet is not as wide but it’s deeper. And for the money it’s an absolute no brainer. The finish is not as glossy, but on my black toolbox I like because finger prints don’t show as easy. My next step is to bolt another one just like this one together.

I had been on the fence on purchasing a new toolbox for a while now. I was shopping around on all of the big name tool trucks that came by the shop and the price ranges that they were selling their boxes for always turned me off of buying one. I had found out about this website a couple of years back and had continually checked up on all of the customer reviews to see how other people had reacted to buying a tool vault tool box. I watched every youtube video that I could find to get a feel for the tool box the best I could without physically seeing it in person. I finally decided to go ahead and purchase the tool vault and I could not be happier with my decision. I love the color scheme with the brushed look to all the aluminum trim. The toolbox has exceeded every expectation. It is much sturdier than I had initially anticipated. All of the other guys at the shop were certain I had gone with one of the expensive big name boxes. The sooner you order it the sooner you will get it! Also who knows how long these prices will last? These are heavy duty professional tool boxes but with this price even a backyard mechanic can afford to keep his tools in his home garage. Home mechanics beware, you have to make sure you have enough room. This toolbox is 30″ deep and the drawers extend fully so you actually need 60″ of space to open the drawers. Also it does not come already stacked together and you and your buddy won’t lift the top chest to stack it (I used a 2 post car lift). The quality of this toolbox is excellent. When people see my tool box they just say “WOW”. Then they get a puzzled look on their face when they see Montezuma. Then when I pull open the top drawer on the bottom cabinet with over 200 sockets, ratchets, breaker bars, torque wrenches and extensions and then hang another 180 lbs. (my weight) on the drawer front, they are very impressed. I could go on all day about this toolbox but let me tell you that you won’t regret buying it. The only bad thing I can say about this toolbox is that it doesn’t come equipped for guys under 6’4″. You will need to buy a step stool to see into the top drawers. Oh my goodness, I was full in a matco 4’s and an hf side locker. Got this toolbox and hutch with the side locker for the 84”. It’s amazing now I feel like I have no tools. Ordering was easy. Delivery was mostly easy. Lower box was slightly damaged but they will take care of you. Set up is a little difficult even for two journeyman so make sure you have help and follow directions.

I am a ASE Master Tech and have been working in the automotive repair business for over 25 years. I was looking for a replacement for my over stuffed Craftsmen tool box. First of all the toolbox is way more than I expected for the price. I was worried because I didn’t get to see the tool box in person before spending the money. I have had my tool box a few months now. I ordered the tool box and had it within two days. That’s very fast. The toolbox was in a heavily built crate. Taking the crate apart was easy. Setting this tool box up didn’t take very long at all. The only thing that wasn’t done for you was there needed to be holes drilled into the top to mount the hutch to it. That was a very simple task as they were marked exactly where they needed to be drilled. This box is simply the best box for the money. I have been researching a lot of different tool boxes, but this one was the best for the size, value, and features. I am a full time diesel technician. Everyone in the shop couldn’t believe how nice and big my toolbox was. Then, they heard the price I paid for it and how fast I had gotten it. A few of the people want to buy one of these boxes for their next box. I couldn’t even get a box of the tool truck that fast and for sure not even close for the price for the size of the box. This box is built very heavily. The hutch is one of the best features with the shelf. I have put all the cases on the shelf with tools in them. Also, all the books I have are on the shelf. The shelf doesn’t even bow downward. I’m very impressed. The hutch is was a very nice touch. I thought about just buying the box without the hutch, but I’m so glad I spent the little bit of extra money to get it. That has left a lot more space inside the toolbox. I believe the drawer rating completely. It has better drawer ratings then the more expensive boxes. The drawer detents are a little hard at first but with a little time they soften up. The tool box comes with softer detents. I would recommend this tool box to anyone. I would definitely by another one in the future if I needed it. I have more room with this box than I need but, I figured I could grow into it. Strictly toolboxes are very professional along with Montezuma tool box which thought of a very easy set up. The tool box rolls across the shop very easily. The spring loaded casters make it very nice for uneven spots in the floor. The casters also have locks to keep the box stationery. This box sure makes our shop look good. It is the biggest box in the shop that’s for sure.

I have owned Craftsman tool boxes all my life, not anymore. The money I spent over the years was a lot more than the cost of this one. When I needed to purchase a new toolbox I went online and started looking for a tool box that would hold all my tools and last till retirement. This tool box will go the distance. It has a lot of metal in it and ball bearing drawers. The deep drawers are great for the thicker tools (air and battery tools, large wrenches, 3/4″drive, and batteries). The 2 1/4″ drawers are the right depth for the smaller wrenches, sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, and other small diameter items. If you are undecided about the 24″ versus 30″ Montezuma, go 30. You will not believe how much difference 6″ makes; it is like having an extra tool box as-far-as square inches are concerned. The hutch is money well spent for me. In my line of work documentation is produced as you reassemble motors. The top of the tool box is the right height to write. With the hutch, papers are protected and manuals are kept close at hand. Again the useable space in the hutch is massive. I love it. I have had several coworkers look over the tool box, and am impressed with the quality. The more I use this toolbox the more I like it. I have to say it did take me awhile to relearn the location of my tools, but that’s true with any tool box. I have to say this is the least expensive toolbox, as-far-as the quality is concerned! Par none!

hell im a pro auto tech i have 10 years into this trade and just went back to college for my degree in automotive i have done way to much reserch on tools and tools storage i cannot even begin to say how amazing this toolbox is compared to other brands this one beets them all my freinds have top of the line tool boxes or so they thought and other have less pricey ones i have a 41 top and bottom with a side locker bought from well lets just say an employer of mine a local parts store and this tool box out shines in every catagory it has more storage more room better quality and a way better price tag everyone said its to cheap to be a good toolbox now they want to get one even the shop owner and my teachers are looking into them just plan and simple you can beet it oh and the hutch was easy drilling the holes was not so much lol but only took two of us to lift and went together just fine i did notice one slide was bad do to shipping but with the warrenty i had two new slide in just days im so impressed i want one for home and am selling my napa toolbox dont look any further this is the one dont second guess yourself because of price the qulity is there and as i know i almost had to wait 2 months for it as they were almost sold out good luck all oh and strictlytoolboxes you guys rock customer service is nothing short of top knotch

I needed a new tool box but didn’t want to pay the high price of the local tool distributors. So, I did an internet search and found the Montezuma. I was skeptical of the low price but after ready through reviews and forums, I decided to purchase this toolbox. The toolbox was on back order so it took a couple of months to get it. It was well worth the wait. I am very impressed with the customer service. They told me exactly when it would arrive and kept me informed. The tool box arrived in a new wooden crate that was well put together. I didn’t realize how massive it was until I opened the crate. The toolbox is huge and drawers are very deep. It arrived scratch free, had all the parts and everything worked. As big as the tool box is, it rolls very easy. The four swivel casters and two fixed center casters make it a breeze to move. I strongly recommend anyone looking for a nice but inexpensive tool box to buy a Montezuma.

I bought my ToolVault Elite 72″ with Hutch just over two years ago now ( May 6th, 2019) and I’m still amazed at how great a toolbox it is. It still wows me every morning when I get to work. Drawers still slide smooth, Hutch door still rolls up nicely. I still have plenty of space left to fill and at some point look forward to adding a side locker. I get compliments on it all the time. I search for a long time for a tool storage option that wasn’t cheaply made and over priced or something affordable and still made like crap. I really didn’t want to be in debt to one of the tool truck brands for the rest of my career so I could have the tool box I wanted. Going on five years, love the toolbox if you do your research, you find this tool box stands up to a snap on ,dry wight, so Guage of meat is good , drawers hold more weight, , never had problem , will buy another for home!!

I purchased this tool box in orange back in June 2019. Since its arrival in a very well packed cargo crate the box has been the envy of the shop. I’ve had this toolbox for a couple months now, and after working out of it day in and day out I have to say I’m very impressed with the construction and set up, I wasn’t totally sold on the hutch but after having it honestly I love it. the drawers are well placed and reinforced quite nicely. This tool box is every bit as good as my coworkers truck brand tool boxes for a fraction of the cost, most definitely the most bang for the buck. Now on to the strictly team they made ordering this beasty easy as drinking water it was like 3 fast questions and boom we are done and the after care was outstanding, ended up needing locks and they sent them out straight away no questions asked. I ordered my Tool Vault 72″ x 25″ deep 19 drawer Roller Cabinet in early May 2019. A few days later the FedEx delivery truck was at my driveway. Very fast and efficient. The toolbox was impeccably packaged, and I used the “excuse” of a small dent on the outside of the carton to have the driver wait while my wife and I unpacked. There was never any worry. Our driver asked “how can I help” and “take all the time you need”. The three of us worked together and the tool box inside was in perfect condition. This is a very well constructed toolbox. Fit and finish are excellent. I had to get mine down a hill to a walkout basement, so due to the steepness of the hill, we decided to remove all of the drawers to reduce the weight. Removing those drawers is an eye-opener. They are beautifully constructed and very heavy, but they are easy to remove and replace if needed. We belayed the box down the hill with straps, rope and my car’s bumper as the anchor point at street level. I am thrilled with the entire experience from the time of order, through the clear e-mail instructions from Strictly Toolboxes, and our terrific driver. Immeasurably superior to the three 40 year old Craftsman roller cabinets that this replaces. I highly recommend this box. Thanks for everything!

I am an equipment mechanic this tool box far exceeds my expectations , I bought some SnapOn logos for it and no can tell the difference save a buck and buy your box here. It shipped right to my shop and all the technicians were in awe

So I have had the toolbox a month now… So happy I went with this rather than one from a tool truck! Quality is just as good, and you get more box for far less money! A word on the drawer slides…. When you first get the tool box, you need to force the drawers all the way open. Don’t have to slam them, just a firm steady pull to expand the slides all the way. Took me two weeks to figure that out, but now the drawers open completely and not with 3/4” of overhang in the back edge making it hard to get deepwells out of the back of the top drawer. Did this with all the drawers and they all open square and all the way now. Takes 5 minutes but you will be glad you did. My problem is, now I’m thinking I should have gone with a bigger box

I have had my toolbox for almost 1 year and the more I use it the better I like it. I waited a year for my review so I could give actual feed back after a good deal of use. Best drawer layout of any box I have ever had and Quality in build that is as good or better than any other tool box I have ever used. Tons of room. Very solid and very smooth. The finish is beautiful and very tough and is holding up to daily use. Still looks brand new. The Price gives unmatched value. There is no way you will regret buying this box. Also, I had a small issue with delivery, I called the company and it was fixed by the next day! Their service is the real deal!

I have had this tool box for a little over a year and I am still impressed with the quality and look of the toolbox. Compare to any tool truck boxes and you get loads more for your money. I priced out boxes for over 6 months and decided to go with (aka my wife said ok) this box. Never regretted anything about it. I do wish I was able to get the top hutch. Unless you have 30 years of tools stored up you will not need the top tool cabinet. I would highly recommend this box to anyone looking for one that is 30 in deep.

Fantastic box. I have had Snap-On and numerous other brands. While it is not the most refined toolbox out there, it certainly was the best value BY FAR. Very heavy duty and I have no doubt that it will last me MANY years. I would most certainly purchase again at the drop of a hat!!

10/10 The best customer service I’ve ever had. The package was well protected. The tool box it’s self is unrivaled! The customer service was incredible. The shipping took a week and a half. It would have been a week but there was an emergency with the people shipping it. For reference to other buyers, I live in Iowa and im a college student. The website, customer service, shipping (people), and the delivery guy was the greatest experience that more than makes me confident in this brand. The tool box is the best toolbox I’ve ever had. I do own snap on tool boxes and have been around a lot of other premium quality things, but this is my favorite. The features besides the custom stainless steel top which resembles this checkered flag design that at the same you can still see a clear reflection of yourself, it would have to be the drawers. Yes, the drawers do go past the front of the box which is so nice, but I like the drawers because they are smooth and stay where you put them not like for example my snap on which you just push it and it will slam shut because its so smooth. Finding the balance between smoothness and stationary drawers is the best with this box. For other buyers, yes the two middle casters are rigid so my concern was it riveting in the middle so it would be hard to back it against a wall with out a fork lift. The rigid caster slide so that you can move it like a regular 4 caster tool box and it does so effortlessly. This boxes mobility is amazing. The price is unmatched, and according to my debit card, I wasn’t taxed. So the $4075 price tag is exactly that. The warranty is limited but when I called and asked about it, it surprised me and further increased my confidence. Call them, ask. Seriously, try it. There is not a single flaw with the service and especially the tool box. This tool box, I am so proud to have it and can’t wait to add to it. I chose Tool Vault for quality and space, and I got way more than that. In the pictures I am 6 foot 3 inches 250 lbs. This box is so big that it is deceiving in pictures, its scale can not be fulling rendered with a phone or computer. I recommend professional cameras which is not what I used, lol. I do wish is was 48 inches for a little extra height for drawers 5 and 8 because I tried to put my Big Mac precision torque combination wrenches but the case was like a millimeter to tall, thanks MAC. So I had to lay them out flat lol. But jokes aside, This is the BEST! Thank you.

20+ years of wrenching and having had Matco, Mac and Snapon toolboxes, I have to admit I was skeptical at first (how can they be so much cheaper?), but after much research and reading lots of reviews, I finally decided to order this Tool Vault monster, and was very impressed with the quality and construction. Side by side with my older, smaller Snapon, I have to say this box beats that KRL, as the Tool Vault has reinforcing ribs under the drawers (unlike the KRL). Even heavily loaded drawers (air tool, puller, socket drawer, etc) glide smoothly without binding or twisting. Shipping was fast for where I live (in the sticks), ordered Thursday it arrived Tuesday. Only fault I can point to in the entire process of buying this tool box is when it’s all crated up for shipping is, it’s 8′ long…..and nobody has an 8′ liftgate, and you can’t turn an 8′ skid inside an 8′ trailer. Thankfully I have a forklift, so we were able to use it in conjunction with the liftgate to get it safely on the ground. Driver was very helpful and pointed out a few scuffs on the crating, insisting we uncrate it (I think he was as excited to see this box as I was.) Box arrived in perfect condition.

My 84″ Elite Tool Vault came today via Fed Ex. The driver let me open the crate, we inspected it, it was perfect, not a scratch. The customer service walked me through the entire process, sent me emails, I was able to call and ask questions. Everything went as planned. I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase. Just received my new toolbox. I ordered it Tuesday evening and got here 3:00 pm Friday. This thing is a beast and at 61 years old I have had a lot of tool boxes over the years. The process was easy and there customer service is top notch. I can’t believe the quality for the price. I do think the big 3 have a slight quality advantage but for the money it was 1/3 the cost. Pre-ordered the orange with black trim and it was well worth the wait for it to get done. Shipped from Florida to Pennsylvania in 2 business days and the packaging was like a tank. The lock the drawer latches and the slides are top notch. This thing moves very smooth for its size and weight casters are outstanding. The drawer liners are nice dense foam and fit perfectly and the stainless top can be used as a mirror. I have seen many snap on and Matco tool boxes and this tool box is built just as well as any of them. If you are looking for a toolbox that is built for professionals this will not disappoint. For reference the color is similar to the old chevy hugger orange and the finish is flawless. Last note customer service was great this was a hassle free purchase and the box was done exactly when they said it would be. I will try to add more photos as I get it completely set up.

This is my second tool vault and both are awesome. My first was a 55” elite but I ran out of room. Very well built. I don’t see why this toolbox wouldn’t last me the rest of my career. The handle locking mechanism works well and the drawers slide nice and smooth. I got my tracking number right away and the tool box arrived earlier than the expected arrival date. The tool truck boxes are no better quality than these and their prices don’t even come close. It’s a no-brainer.

Best toolbox we have had to date, we used others, the ones that come from a tool trucks and this tool box beats them hands down. In the past we seemed to have a lot of door problems with the weight we would put into them, not with this toolbox.We are kinda hard on on toolboxes in our shop. found that quality is just as good as matco, infact had a bet with co-worker that we could stand in my toolbax when it got here , when it arrived first thing we did was stand in the bottom draw and other tech was dumb founded , because he had paid over 15 k for his tool box and wasn’t willing to see if it would hold the both of us. slides are amazingly smooth shipment was outstanding , when it arrived it had some pretty bad damage on fright toolbox i was worried that i was gona have to go throw sending it back ect but un wrapped her not a dent scratch or mark on her just pure beauty. more then enough room to expand. i plan on getting the hutch next year. i have to say i would have felt really stupid if i had bought a matco or snapon for the prices they have and then have some else buy this box for this price , side by side it’s just the name your buy with other boxes . best investment yet

I’ve been needing a new tool box for work for the longest time. I’ve been having to SLOWLY open my drawers for a year and a half because all the slides were shot. For the last few weeks, I’ve been shopping around at a lot of triple bay boxes and almost pulled the trigger on a SO box from the tool guy for four times of this price. That’s when I came upon this website and saw all the great reviews on this box. One week later and this box arrived at my work. In that week of my box getting delivered to me, one guy spent three times as much on a used SO double bay with top chest, two guys spent a few hundred more on a SO double bay, one guys spent a few hundred more on a MC triple bay 4s, and another guy spending about what i spent on a double bay CW. My box was the last of all 5 tool boxes to get there and everyone that had just purchased their boxes was saying how nice and how good of a deal I got. The quality so far for this toolbox is equivalent or even better compared to some of the new “Name Brand” tool boxes in our shop. One guy was saying he may buy one just like mine because all the tool guys their cannot beat these prices size for size. When one of my coworker got his 4s triple bay, I asked him to stand in one of his drawers jokingly. His reply was for my to stand in my own box when it gets there. So with the challenge accepted, once I inspected and got my box out of it’s crate of a home, I pulled out one of the bottom drawers and stood right in it. Not even the slightest movement in the drawer. All things aside, I would not hesitate to make another purchase from these guys. Brad was very friendly and helpful with my whole order and stayed in contact with me until the box was at my door.

Unbelievable. You could easily make the trucks stop selling toolboxes!!! Heavier duty with better finish and trim. Too bad only 2 colors were available. The 10 to 11 grand 3 bank boxes from the trucks truly are lacking after you see this tool box!!! Wow, and everyone else said wow too. I will be buying the hutch and side lockers as soon as money allows.

I am a Harley Davidson Master Tech. I can’t tell you how happy I am with this Tool Vault Elite 72″ 17 Drawer Tool Cabinet. First of all, I wish I would knew about Strictlytoolboxes.com a long time ago, it would have saved me ton of Money. I sold my 72′ snap-on to buy this box and this tool Vault is way better. The guys in the shop were like, wow really nice, and it only cost 1/3 of what a Snap-on box the same size would cost. I can’t wait to order the riser and side cabinet. From the time I place the order, the service was great. They called me within the hour to let me know they had sold three over the weekend but an order was coming in Thursday, and it would be shipped out by Friday the latest. I got it the following Wed. morning. Crate was great, I followed the instructions for delivery. And everything went good. This toolbox gets a 10 in my book.

First off I am not normally a guy that takes time to write a review but in this instance a felt compelled. The service from strictly tool boxes is 1st rate they make it very comfortable to make the purchase. Over the years I have owned several tool truck brand tool boxes this toolbox is hands down as good quality as any of them. I was nervous about delivery especialy after I found out I live in the area with the highest percentage of freight damage. When it arrived the crate was pretty banged up but they really package these things well the driver was great he helped me uncrate it and inspect it he was more excited than me lol. After many years in the field it was time for a new tool box. After looking at all of the top end name brands I found myself not wanting to spend $10,000+ on a S***-On tool box. I then stumbled upon this site. I still scratch my head and wonder how someone can build such a bad a** toolbox and charge so little for it. It was mind blowing. The ordering process was great and the box arrived in a timely manner. The box was packaged very well. No issues with damage, the crate was not damaged and the tool box was also not damaged. The freight truck driver was cool too, he stuck around to watch us tear apart the crate and let me inspect the box before even asking for a signature. Now as far as the box, it is everything that I thought it would be and then ten times more. As much as the reviews indicate the detents are very very stiff. On the drawers with 4 slides I removed 2 of the detents because these drawers have 4 installed(one per slide). This made the opening and closing of the bigger drawers a lot easier. The box is AWESOME, it is big, sturdy, thick, and puts all the tool truck guys boxes to shame. To anyone reading this and wonder if they should make the investment……the answer is YES. I have been a diesel mechanic for more than 15 years, owned Craftsman, Snapon, and many others, but this has been the best bang for the buck I have found. For this price you cannot even touch a used toolbox of this size from the major brands and it easily matches their quality. Slides are smooth and very strong. First thing I did was stand in the bottom drawer and bounce. Pulled out one of the top drawer and hung off of it with little give at all and I weigh 227lbs. I would not hesitate to purchase this again or recommend it to anyone else. I can only think of three downsides: I wish it was made in the USA (support the home team!), I prefer drawer latches to detents, and I wish there was an option for more shallow drawers (I prefer square inches to cubic.) In daily use I find the detents to be a little strong, but it does come with softer ones if preferred; the casters roll smooth and the spring suspension lets it roll right over small bumps and debris and the fixed wheels in the middle make maneuvering easy. I just couldn’t ask for a better deal on a toolbox if this quality. Also do not hesitate about buying online. I was a little hesitant at first, but after seeing so many positive reviews I gave it a shot. Customer service was awesome and very prompt with replies and made sure to call once my order was processed to confirm and explain everything. The order was processed and shipped out quickly and arrived within 3 days. If I am ever in the market for another toolbox I will be a repeat customer

I was a little hesitant to buy this toolbox without putting my hands on one first, but I am so glad that I did! It is an amazing value for the quality of the product. I am a heavy duty diesel technician. Which means i have a lot of heavy tools to store. After I bought my tool box two of my coworkers bought new boxes and paid over double the amount I paid. One of the guys had pretty bad buyers remorse, but there was not an ounce of buyers remorse on my end. I didn’t much care for the fact that these boxes are made in China, but then I found out that several of the big name boxes are made over seas now. That put my mind at ease. The drawer lay out of this toolbox works very well. The powder coat holds up well, and is easy to clean. The stainless top does dent pretty easy. All in all it is an excellent tool box! I would buy this box again even if it cost twice as much!

I am a full time automotive technician and work on anything and everything. I have been needing a new tool box for a long time. I had a small double stack tool box.I like to keep everything organized but it got to the point where i had tools just piled in the drawers because i didn’t have enough room. I had been looking at all the stores and saw some in the tool truck sales flyers. But they were either to flimsy or to expensive. I couldn’t afford to spend 12 grand on a tool box. So i started looking online, I came across strictly tool boxes while searching for alternate brands of toolboxes. I looked at the Extreme Tools 72″ and the Montezuma 72″ for a long time. I wanted a nice big box so I would have plenty of room for more tools in the future. I also wanted a box with a nice stainless steel top so i could use it as a work bench. I was nervous about buying a box off the internet since I had never seen either brands in person. I finally had enough money so I called and talked to one of the guys at strictly tool boxes. I asked him all the questions I had and after talking to him and reading all the reviews I decided to go with the Montezuma Elite 72″. I ordered it and received it a week later. I was nervous about the whole inspection thing because I thought the driver might not let me look at it. But when it was dropped off the driver was nice and said I could check it out while he went and closed up his truck. I got it mostly opened and the driver helped me take the box off the top. He was really impressed, he said you don’t see tool boxes built like that everyday. He was also impressed with the crate. It was on a pallet with quarter inch ply wood all around it then a really thick box and a giant plastic bag. It would have had to be really mishandled to get damaged. Everything looked good so I signed the bill. I installed the alternate detents because the one that came on it were so stiff I could hardly open the drawers. Once I installed the new detents they were still stiff but better. I switched all my tools over and had quite a few empty drawers left it was really nice to have extra room. I had a problem with the locks, there were two different locks and only the right key for one of them. So I called right away and told them what was wrong and they overnighted me a new lock and key so both locks would match and i could use the same key. I am very impressed with the box it is very sturdy I have actually used a drawer for a chair and didn’t even phase it. My one complaint and the reason I gave it 4 stars on quality was the stainless steel top has a real small checker board texture on it. So the top is really hard to clean because stuff gets caught in the squares. Other then that I love my box and if I had to do it over again I would definitely buy it again. The drawers have gotten easier to close as I have used them more. I have been telling all the guys at work where I got it and they were all really impressed especially when I told them the price. I was a little scheptical about purchasing this toolbox. I went back and forth for over a year and one day I came into work and said to myself…………” NOW OR NEVER!” With some swift key strokes and a slide of a mouse the tool box was sitting at my shop 4 days later! I love this box. I used to have two 42″ bottom cabinets and a 42″ top chest at work. I’ve managed to fit everything into this one tool box and still have room to spare. Definitely an attention getter though. Others in the shop wanted to know where I got it after looking it over and hearing the price. In the shop I work there are Snap On, Mac, Craftsman, Cornwell and Matco toolboxes. All except for Craftsman cost more and none are as nice as this box. I would love to get another to replace some of the boxes in my home shop. I would and do strongly recommend looking into these boxes if you’re in need of one. I purchased this tool box 2 months ago on 11/16/2012. I am a manchanic and car dealer and wanted to have this box for a few weeks before i wrote a review on it. I just love this toolbox,and since I am a mechanic this box gets used alot. This box is everything they say it is, price, quality, durability, its all great I would highly recommend this box to everyone. I had been looking at boxes for awhile and almost spent 4 times the amount for one. I am so glad I got online and found this box. i dont really have any dislikes, maybe latches on the drawers or a place to plug in my tools to charge them.. I just think this is a great box and its at a great price. You cant go wrong.You will love it.

This tool box looks even better than the pictures. Great customer experience. I had the box three days after i ordered it. The toolbox was professionally crated and did not have any damage when it arrived. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I wish Strictly Tool Boxes offered closed cell foam to put in the drawers to shadow the tools. About the shiping company: while the shipment was fast, i don’t believe a lot of thought was put into the actual delivery. For example, i requested a lift gate. They showed up with a semi to a residential neighborhood. I hadto plead with the driver to attempt backing into my driveway. Then, the box and pallet jack together wwould not fit on the lift gate. Between the two of us, we were eventually able to get it off the truck. The driver was nice and helped uncrate the box. However, he would not take the crate with him so i had a pile of trash to contend with.

I had been looking at getting a new toolbox for some time. The toolbox set I had bought when I started school just wasn’t cutting it when I actually started working. Being a “stacked” style box, it was too tall to pass under the aircraft and it didn’t provide me any working area surface. I don’t remember how I came to find out about Montezuma toolboxes or Strictlytoolboxes.com. But once I did, I was eye-balling the 72″ Montezuma Elite for A LONG time, many months to almost a year. I was hesitant to make such a large purchase on-line, but the alternatives cost way too much from one of the tool trucks. I browsed around several websites looking at different brands. But I always kept coming back to STB.com and the 72″ Montezuma Elite. It looked to be an awesome box at a very good price and STB.com seemed to have a history of happy customers. The day I decided to “pull the trigger” was when I was talking to a guy at work who was going to school. I had mentioned the 72″ Montezuma Elite I was think about and he said if I made the move, he’d buy my old box. That was all it took to get it past the Mrs. I placed my order one evening, and to my surprise, I got notified my box had been shipped by about 10 am the next day. About 48 hours later, it had already made it from STB.com in FL to Milwaukee!!! After that weekend, the truck pulled up to my driveway. I had already reviewed the receiving and freight inspection instructions many times and was ready the moment it hit the pavement. The driver was awesome too. He was curious as to what was in the crate and wanted to see it too when I told him it was my new toolbox. He even helped me uncrate it for inspection since the crate showed signs of a 1000 plus miles in the back of several semi-trailers. But the robust crate did it’s job and my shiny new blue Montezuma box emerged unscathed by the trip. I took it to work on my day off and spent several hours transferring all my tools to their new home. Many people knew I was getting a new box and right away it started attracting on-lookers and admirers. The complements still haven’t stopped, nor have the questions like “Is that all it cost!!???” STB.com has been as awesome as the product they sell. I inquired about possibly getting some extra keys and the answer was “where do you want them sent”!! I had one minor issue with a wheel lock not staying locked and they shipped me a free replacement that same day!!! I have absolutely no bad things to say about STB.com’s customer service, nadda, zip, nothing!! Their service has been flawless. I had some questions about getting different drawers and additional corners guards which they answered very promptly. Now that I’ve had my box for about a month, I can say it’s been doing everything I wanted. It rolls under the belly of the jets so I don’t have to go way the heck around. And it gives me all the working surface I need for my tech manual data, parts or materials. The rolling resistance is much less than one would expect for a box of this size or weight. It actually takes much less effort to move it than my old, much smaller box. If I had to come up with one critique for the box, it would be the suspension springs on the wheels are too stiff. They need A LOT MORE weight in the box to get the suspension to flex over uneven floor surfaces. That being said, when you roll it over a surface that is slightly dished shaped, only the casters on the 4 corners make contact with the ground. The center wheels that keep the box rolling straight are not touching the ground and the toolbox gets a little squirrely and hard to steer until the floor contour changes and the center wheels again touch the ground. I think maybe some options for some softer springs for the wheels would fix the issue. But overall I can say in all honesty, I am one happy camper!! The quality and value of the 72″ Montezuma Elite cannot be beat nor can STB.com’s customer service. It’s about as close to a “no loose” situation as you will ever find.

started working at a toyota dealership that did not have built in tool boxes like my old toyota dealership. so i spent 2 months looking around for a large toolbox, the big name trucks where out of the question with the 8k-12k price tags. the internet pointed me to this web site and after asking around i took the plunge and bought one. it comes shipped like a tank 1/4 inch plywood on the outside a cardboard box and foam on the inside. the truck driver really wanted to see what was inside so he made it his last delivery so he could see me open it. all the guys in the shop came over to help me open it. we all loved the paint everything about the box NO ONE BELIEVED how much i paid for the box until i showed them the only thing i wish is that i BOUGHT THE HUTCH at the same time if you can buy the hutch

I was looking for a new tool box for about a year and was seriously considering trading my Snap-On double bank in for a triple bank… I’m glad I didn’t!!! I stumbled across this website looking for other options and I was just like everyone else… skeptical. I researched these tool boxes online for quite some time, after the guys at Strictly toolbox answered all of my questions and I realized this was most likely gonna be a solid toolbox I gave in and ordered one. It was shipped via Saia and I was so anxious to get it I went to the terminal and picked it up, so it only took about 4 days to get here. I have had it for about a month and a half now and I am extremely pleased with this tool box, I really like it better than my Snap-On. If you look at the picture that has both of my toolboxes in it you can see the difference of the two toolboxes and I paid a lot more for the little one than I did the big one. The only thing I don’t really care for is the detents on the drawers but the tool box comes with different detents and I haven’t tried them yet. I love the fact that this tool box comes standard with the stainless steel top and the spring loaded casters. I have been telling all of my buddies and people that I deal with in the field about these toolboxes. This tool box truly is just as good as any big brand name tool box and thousands cheaper… I know everyone says the same thing but it is the truth. If I decide I need more tool space you can bet I’ll be getting the topper for this toolbox.

I have been researching the high end toolboxes for more than a year. I looked at everything from budget to high end tool boxes. The lower end would not cut it in my line of work and the high end tool boxes were way out of my price range. I ran across StrictlyToolBoxes.com and was very hesitant to jump on the Montezuma bandwagon, only because I have never seen one in person. To make a long story short, I took the chance and I can say, I think this is probably the best surprise I have ever had when buying online. The toolbox was shipped with so much padding it took me longer to unpack it than to stock it with my tools. The only complaint I have with my entire purchase is with the shipping company. There was a little damage to the back but I couldn’t do anything about it because the shipping company Saia had someone other than myself sign for it. I should have been the ONLY one authorized to sign for my box. Anyway, the toolbox was shipped extremely fast. The toolbox matches the best boxes I have seen in quality. I have people come up to my box and can’t believe I have twice the toolbox they have for a third of the price. Bottom line, buy this toolbox if you are in need of a heavy duty, great quality and extremely heavy tool chest. I believe that this tool box will last me the rest of my career. Once I decide that I am in need for more room, you can bet that I will be purchasing a top box from Strictly Tool Boxes. And one more thing, if you have ever heard of the term “supply and demand”, you will understand what I am about to say. You better buy one of these soon because once the cats out of the bag about these toolboxes, the price will start to match the quality.

I just received my Montezuma 72″ Elite tool box the other day and was impressed by its sturdiness. The toolbox has a nice stainless top that seems to be quite heavy duty. I am a full time diesel mechanic at an International dealership. All 8 other mechanics in my shop have 72″ Snxp-xn boxes with hutches. I have worked out of my buddies 72″ snxp-xn tool box that he wasn’t using for the past 9 months till I could save up enough to buy my own. I stumbled across this site while looking for used tool boxes and was skeptical at first. I did as much research as I could, comparing drawer arrangements, weight ratings, and the gauge of steel used in construction. Finally I ordered a 72″ Montezuma with a stainless top and faultless castors. It arrived 2 days later in great shape…. the packaging was incredibly thorough; 1/4″ plywood outside of 3/4″ styrofoam with thick plastic covering the tool box itself. One look at the tool box and you can tell that these tool boxes are built well. The drawers slide very smoothly and securely on the rollerbearing slides and extend all the way out without being difficult to return inward. The handles that you install on both ends are very classy looking and are very strong. Several items that are different but not necessarily worse than the tool truck boxes are as follows: The stainless top is textured slightly which makes it a little hard to write on, the drawer detents are rather stiff but the tool box has softer spare detent blocks and instructions on how to install them, and all the end castors swivel which make it easy to maneuver but also make the box slightly more difficult to push in a straight line. Things i like about this tool box… the extra security drawer, the great paint job it has, the no-skid drawer liners that come with the tool box, the 2 wide shallow drawers underneath the socket drawer; I use one for wrenches and the other for screwdrivers and pliers, I also like having a handle on each end of the tool box. The thing I like best is that all the other guys in the shop are asking the tool truck dealer why their tool boxes cost so much!!! After seeing my tool box, one of my coworkers said that Snxp-xn is becoming a brand name cult! That said, I have been working out of it for 2 weeks and I love the tool box! All the other guys in the shop have been amazed at how nice this toolbox is for a 3rd of the price that they paid for their tool boxes. I would be amazed if anyone else who saw my tool box would still pay $10,000 for a tool truck tool box! I would never hesitate to convince anyone to get this tool box over more expensive tool boxes. I own a auto body shop so I decided to upgrade my old Mxxxx toolbox. My other techs have nice Cxxxxxx tool box and sxxx-ox toolbox and when you see them your first impression is “wow, look at those nice tool boxes”. They were very impressive from my point of view and they did bring some class to my shop when they brought their tool boxes in. That is when I wanted a upgrade both sxxx-ox and cxxxxxxxx said I have this tool box for $5700 but it was not as big as the Montezuma. Cxxxxxxx said I can get you a similar toolbox for around $4200. I looked at both of them and the toolboxes were pretty sharp nice colors the only thing that they lacked was the amount of drawers and the size of the drawers also the nice color the toolbox is. That is when my mind was made up to get me the Montezuma. When my toolbox came and we unpacked it you could just see the look in techs eyes when we got it all unpacked and put the handles on the beautiful toolbox. The first words out their mouths were “How Much did you pay for this?”. Later that day my one tech said to the sxxx-ox man “I wanna try and sell my toolbox”. That put a smile on my face when I heard it. I love this toolbox – plenty of room, nice and big, color is great, the quality is top notch, and customer service is right on point. I had to give a key to my son called them up and without question they sent me 2 keys free of charge. My experience with strictly tool boxes has been a good one. Great company to do business with! Way to go guys! I’m already setting up to make my next buy. A side cabinet and hutch. Now when customers come in they see my toolbox first out of the other 3 toolboxes. My toolbox is the real eye catcher! Thanks STB. PS . I almost forgot when sxxx-ox saw it the first thing he said was that it was not good quality. Our boxes are painted on the inside and most boxes you get online are just painted on the outside and the bearings are junk as well. Being the Asshole I am I said “Really?” in front of a shop full of people “Lets see.” we walked over to my toolbox and I pulled out the top draw and checked with my flash light. I said “Looks all painted to me!” then I went and stepped into the bottom draw and said push the draw in and out while I was standing in it again without any problems drawer worked great! I weigh 260 pounds. That sure shut him up.

I’ve been using my new tool box for a little less than a month and absolutely love it in every way! Very heavy duty drawer slides, and spring loaded casters which is very nice, and so much room! I have had most the other brand name toolboxes, but I definitely like this one the best, and I really like the price tag that came with it! I even showed this toolbox to the tool guys that come by the shop, and even they were very impressed and jealous once they realized how much I paid for it. Even the Sxxx-Ox guy asked me where he could purchase one for his own garage, funny stuff! Also, I was very surprised when it came in with the stainless steel top already on it, no extra cost to me! What an amazing bonus, and the great customer service I received with this company was fantastic, very patient to answer every question I had about my new tool box! I LOVE my new tool box! It is high quality construction at an affordable price and I know quality construction because I a general contractor and have to maintain all of my equipment (toys) and tools. I did a lot of research before I purchased a tool box and found your product to be far superior to the competitions overpriced tool boxes. The only problem that I can find with my new tool box is that I had to buy more tools, oh darn! I would recommend this tool box to anyone who appreciates their tools, as long as they have room, it is big!

I priced tool boxes of this size from 3 major tool dealers and none of them could match the price of this tool box. I’ve had this toolbox in the shop for over 7 months and I don’t have the first complaint, except that I keep buying tools trying to fill it up. The quality of this tool box is outstanding from the double slides on the deep drawers to the fully braced bottom and heavy duty casters. The prelined drawers are also a nice touch. After running out of room in a much smaller Craftsman tool box I decided to upgrade. My boss had just purchased a slightly smaller toolbox from here and everyone was impressed with it. The purchase process was smooth as could be and the tool cabinet came crated to withstand a small bomb blast. I am glad I spent a little extra for the deeper box, stainless steel top and upgraded casters. It was worth every penny. What else can I say except that everyone else here hasn
