I recently purchased an 84” Tool-Vault tool chest with matching hutch. I
had looked at the “top of the line” tool chests from the tool truck guys. This
unit is every bit as solidly made with heavy duty parts and a very easy to
operate locking drawers. The total weight of the unit with hutch is around
1500 lbs. This will outlast me and will be handed down to the next
generations. The people at Strictly Toolboxes are superb and very helpful
with support both before and after the sale and delivery. I paid less than
half of a heavily discounted 84” tool chest only from the tool truck guys. I
whole heartedly recommend this brand of tool boxes.

These boxes are the best bang for your buck if you're wanting a new unused box. They are about the same quality as the Master Series from the leading manufacturer. The drawers slide easily whether empty or full and after 3 years works as new. The Hobo Freight accessories are similar colors and work pretty well with it. I'd highly recommend the ICON hutch light- ive got 2 installed and it works perfectly. The only only downsides are the powder coating is pretty soft and easily scratches and the shelf sucks where it's able to be installed. I installed new nutcerts to install mine lowered and it looks and works better to hide chargers, power strips and other unsightly junk.

Just like the other reviews if you’re thinking of getting it just get it! The latching handles are nice and smooth the drawers are smooth once you work them a few times! 2 things I wish this tool box had, 1: better wood underneath the stainless steal top!, 2: some kind of power strip built in! Not gonna let those things ruin it though! I got 2 white magnetic power strips with fast charge USB ports on it have it on each side of the toolbox. Have some LED strips on the way to light up that nice big hutch.

Extremely heavy duty toolbox, beats my old Mac box by far. all my coworkers which own Macsimizer and Snap on tool boxes were surprised with the quality of it when it arrived. Customized mine with some vinyl wrap Motion activated hutch lights and drawer lights. the pegboard is super useful since you can bolt straight to the back. the drawers are 26" deep and slide smooth forsure built to last!

I spent a lot of time looking at tool boxes this size I was concerned that this box would not be made as well that Snap On or Cornwell ext. I was wrong this massive toolbox is built as well if not better. Other guys in my shop that buy only big name tool boxes are impressed with how well it's built. I placed the order on a Monday morning after talking to Tim the next Monday I received my box undamaged. If i would change a few things I would a power top would be nice, and the instructions for setting up the hutch are a little vague.

I had outgrown my Snap-On Master’s Series toolbox and was looking for a bigger toolbox. I had several options at that point. Do I buy another new Snap-On box off the truck, buy used, or invest in something else. I found Strictly Tool Boxes and went through the different boxes and their reviews. I found this 84x30 cabinet/hutch set and loved it. I was definitely skeptical at first of whether the quality would be up to par. After months of contemplating, I decided to buy my first Tool Vault box. I purchased it on a Saturday evening, and it showed up at my shop on the following Wednesday. The buying process was smooth and there were no unwelcome surprises. Customer service was great, and even contacted me first to let me know the box had shipped, and to call back with any questions. The toolbox arrived. I unpacked it and with the help of a coworker it was set up in about an hour. The tool box and hutch are amazing! It definitely has the potential to be the last toolbox I will need to purchase. If I need more room, there is the option of adding side lockers later. The drawers all operate smoothly, support all the weight of my tools, and everything seems sturdy. The matching mechanism works better than my Snap-On did. Several of my coworkers commented on how great it looked. Bottom line is this: if you’re on the fence about making the jump from a Cornwell / Snap-On / Mac / Matco box to a Tool Vault, my recommendation is to go for it. Your money goes so much farther!

If you are debating whether or not to purchase this toolbox all I can say is do it! I’ve had a lot of different tool tool boxes and this is every bit as good as some of the big name brands such as Snap On, Matco, Mac, etc. This thing weighs a ton and isn’t very easy to move which tells me it’s really heavy built. The drawer slides were my biggest concern since I have a lot of tools that weigh a lot and after loading the drawers down I noticed how well the slides were built. They only got smoother with weight. Overall I give this toolbox a 10/10 and I would definitely purchase another one in the future!

Very happy with the quality of this toolbox. Came shipped undamaged Going from a 56” Snapon tool box and 56” Cornwall toolbox that were full of tools. It all fit nicely in the 84 “with room to spare. Solid tool box nice black finish drawers are solid as hell even after loading them up. Well worth the investment. Now I just need 2 side cabinets and will be set. My other tech has a new Matco box 54” and paid more for it than my giant box w/hutch. He’s a bit jealous. Very happy I purchased this.

When my tool box arrived it was very well packaged and without any damage. This box is very heavy duty and well built, so glad I got one!! Can’t wait to add a locker or two

I just have to say that I am highly impressed. I am an ex-tool dealer and find it very difficult to choke down the prices of tool boxes today. I wanted to upsize and quite frankly, I needed to. The comparable tool box in a name brand was $22k! Now granted, they were going to give me an inflated trade-in value on my toolbox. However, my new Tool Vault was only 25% of the name brand and I just sold my old toolbox, almost paying for the new one. I did a ton of research. I am the great skeptic. And for me, getting a good deal isn't about a dollar amount. It's about feeling like I received a good product for a reasonable price. I feel like I received a GREAT product for MORE than a reasonable price!

I have had this tool box about a month now and I have been very impressed with the quality. I bought it to upgrade from my old toolbox that just couldn't fit any more tools. I did have one drawer keep sticking in the beginning but I put a little grease on it and have had no problems since. The lining inside the toolbox is great that it doesn't move around like cheap ones. I had a cornwell salesman look it over and he was very impressed, saying it was as good as any box he sold. I have had many people think I spent over $15,000 on the tool box. So, I am very satisfied with cost and quality.

I’ve been a professional heavy truck technician for 20 years and have owned tool boxes from all three of major tool trucks and this tool box is built every bit as well as any of them for a fraction of the price. I did hours and hours of research and comparison before deciding to place the order and these boxes compare in every way to the big names. Customer service when ordering and through delivery was bar none the best I’ve ever had. And shipping was fast. I had the box 3 days after ordering.
Residential Addresses: All residential deliveries will require a delivery appointment.
Commercial Addresses: A delivery appointment is not required, but is highly recommended to ensure a proper inspection by responsible personnel.
*If you do not schedule a delivery appointment, your freight carrier will arrive without notice with your toolbox, and expect that you will be present for inspection.
This step is usually performed directly after your shipping notification is received.
2. PREPARE YOUR RECEIVING AREA
To make the inspection process go as smoothly as possible, please have the tools listed below available as soon as the carrier reaches the delivery point:
LARGE FLAT-HEAD SCREWDRIVER, PRY BAR or CLAW HAMMER
BOX CUTTER
WORK GLOVES
CAMERA or SMARTPHONE CAMERA
ASSISTANT (RECOMMENDED)
CELL PHONE**
Freight carrier drivers typically have 7 – 15 minutes to make a delivery; freight drivers are under no obligation to offer assistance.
3. INSPECT THE OUTER PACKAGING
Use your CAMERA to photograph any damage, and take notes. Examples of damage include, but are not limited to:
BOX CAVING IN, BENT TRIM
HOLES OR TEARS IN CARDBOARD
HOLES CREATED BY A FORKLIFT
ANY EXPOSED METAL
DAMAGE TO BASE
“NO-STACK” CONE ON CARDBOARD PACKAGING IS DESTROYED OR MISSING
In most cases, the outer packaging may display minor damage from general shipping conditions. Any marks or damage on the packaging you see, no matter how trivial, is enough to warrant a complete inspection of your tool box.
4. REMOVE STRAPS AND ACCESSORY
Cut the straps with the BOX CUTTER; Avoid cutting the straps that enclose the accessory carton
Have an ASSISTANT or use a forklift help you lift the hutch or accessory off the crate, then carefully place it aside
If you see any damage at this point,
STOP
NOTE THE DAMAGE ON THE BILL OF LADING and CONTINUE YOUR INSPECTION
***If possible, write on the bill of lading yourself. If the driver insists on being the one to write on the bill of lading, initial their notes showing that you agree with them. If you do not agree with the driver’s notes, DO NOT sign the bill of lading.***
5. UNFASTEN CRATE
Wearing your WORK GLOVES, start with the top panel of the crate
Bend the metal tabs upward in the direction of the slot, straighten the tabs with PLYERS if needed
Remove the top portion of the crate
6. REMOVE PACKAGING
Continue bending the metal tabs, and remove each panel in sequence until the inner packaging is exposed
Lift the cardboard box off, and remove remaining inner packaging and plastic liner
Preserve all packaging and set aside
7. INSPECT TOOLBOX
Inspect your toolbox on each side thoroughly for any dents or scratches
Inspect the powder coat and frame to detect scratches or dents that are less visible
Take clear photos and notes of all damage
8. INSPECT ACCESSORIES
After the roller cabinet has been found to be in perfect condition per the inspection, you must also inspect the accessories before you sign.
Cut any straps, remove, and set aside packaging.
Inspect, note and photograph any damage
If you see any damage at this point,
STOP

9. SIGN FOR YOUR SHIPMENT*
You may sign the bill of lading once the shipment you are accepting has been inspected and declared perfect condition by your own best judgement.
When you sign the bill of lading, you are signing an agreement with the freight company that states that you or an authorized representative has thoroughly inspected the shipment.
Once signed, you agree that you have received the shipment without damage. This agreement also waives any rights to file a freight claim.

5 Year Limited Warranty
All Tool Vault® toolboxes have a Limited 5-Year Warranty to the original user against defects in workmanship and material under normal use. This Limited 5-Year Warranty does not apply to products that have been misused, abused, damaged by accident or otherwise, subjected to abnormal use, used in any type of over the road use, or modified by anyone other than Strictly Tool Boxes. During the applicable duration of the warranty, at its option Strictly Tool Boxes will repair or replace its products which fail to give satisfactory performance due to defective workmanship or materials, or provide a refund by repaying or crediting with an amount equal to the purchase price of such products.
