Over the years I have owned a lot of tool boxes from the big truck brands, honestly I think this box is as good as anything any of them sell. When you factor in what you pay it is a no brainer this is hands down the best toolbox for the dollar money can by. Trust me you will not be disappointed with your purchase. The guys here are super to work with and the pride they take in the boxes they sell is evident.

I'm glad I didn't waste my money on a Snap On box. This box is of equal quality, if not MORE durable. I'm sad there is no marketing team behind this box. I had to research it myself, learn about it myself and sell myself on the idea of it.

Pros: -Amazing toolbox for the money. -It's insanely durable. -Strictlytoolboxes.com has amazing customer service. They call you and make sure you're all set. -Heavy gauge steel, tool box is a 1000 pounds empty. -You can mount the handle on either side -The Extreme tool box has many threaded inserts, is ready to accept side attachments. Cons- -The drawers with dual slides pull out hard upon reaching full extension -6 casters... Center set of casters is not present on Snap On or Matco boxes. If your shop floors are uneven you will need to level the box with cedar shims. Limits under box storage space. -Drawer liners slide towards the back of the drawer each time you close the drawers. -Extreme Tools have no retail outlet, no traveling sales rep, no T.V. ads and do not respond to messages on Facebook. This is an amazing tool box, but unfortunately... NO ONES going to try and sell it to you. You'll only hear about it from other Technicians.

First the toolbox....I bought this based on its specs and never seen one. Its truly a beast. Very impressive build quality and materials. Lots of room and the 30” depth is used by the very deep drawers. As a chest, it’s 5 stars and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. The packing however needs improvement. When it arrived the makeshift pallet extension was crushed and the chest was being supported by the two middle casters. The fiber board crate also had damage. The fed-ex driver was good about noting it and letting us inspect and the strictly toolbox staff was on top of it as well. Luckily, the chest had no damage in the end but the stress of delivery could have been avoided with a better shipping base. A few dollars here on a $4K plus purchase would have made the experience much, much, better. Overall, I’d buy here again and would buy this quality chest.

I have had my tool box almost a week it arrived on time and well packaged better than the other brands of toolboxes in the shop strictly tool boxes have been very helpful, but the tool box is very well made. I have looked at all the name brand toolboxes and I believe this tool box is made just as strong or better than then name brands.

This is the best value you will ever find in a tool box. I researched tool boxes for several days - mostly from the tool trucks until I came across a forum and a couple of guys recommended this box and this site. I checked it out and compared it to the Snap-On Master line and Mac Maximizer line. The same size toolbox with the same specs as far as metal thickness, capacity, etc. would have cost around $10K. I also own a Mac Tech series top and bottom and this Extreme tools toolbox easily feels twice as heavy duty. I am a full time diesel mechanic and have filled this box up and the drawers actually work better when loaded down. I don't normally write reviews about anything, but I felt that this box at this price deserves one. My only complaint is that I'm not the biggest fan of the 6 caster set-up. It's fine if your floor is perfectly level, but if not, it can cause some slight rocking issues. My box stays in 1 spot for the most part so It's not a big deal for me. (I just shimmed under the wheels on one end.) Anyways, seriously, you will not find a better box for the money - not even close.

What a great product! I have been researching the "Extreme Tools" Professional tool boxes for some time. I finally ordered one, and this should be the last tool box I need to buy. It is built like a tank and the craftsmanship is superb. I have owned tool boxes from the "tool trucks" and they don't even compare. The last "tool truck" box I owned had several quality issues and their customer service for warranty issues really was very poor. It was so bad I swore I would never spend my money on their products again. I have received a lot of compliments on the new toolbox from my colleagues. The customer service and follow up, from Strictly Tool Boxes, was second to none. Thanks again to the customer service team for a job well done. I am looking forward to purchasing another for my home garage.

This tool box replaced a 21 yr old Kenosha made Top/bottom combo, that just wore out, and the NON bearing slides were no longer available. I chose this toolbox because of it's construction, and tank like strength.The tool vendors boxes this size were 10 times what Strictly Tool Boxes sold me mine for. When I recieved it, I was stunned by the fight I had unpacking/crating it, and the quality of the paint, the smoothness of the drawer slides, and the sprung caster wheels.

The only thing I wish it had was more full width drawers. I am a service advisor at a Ford dealership in a small town. Tool trucks couldn't touch this price nor could the toolbox stores. Serious tool storage for a reasonable price. Quick shipping, overall happy.

Let me start by saying there are a few great things made in China and the Extreme 72 17 is one of them. I ordered my tool box during the Dockworkers strike in the port of L.A. where my toolbox was stuck at sea and had to wait two extra week to get my tool box and let me tell you it was worth the wait. The drawers are and feel heavy duty when you open and close them. The paint job is really nice almost like show class finish and the price is just right. In my old toolbox (MAC) I had to use 3 draws to fit all my sockets and with the extreme 72 17 I only used the very top drawer and still have room for more. Before I ordered the extreme 7217 I did 3 weeks of research and after talking to Shannon and Joe I was convince the Extreme Tools EX7217 was the toolbox for me. Thanks.

I have been a heavy duty mechanic for 34 years; I have had several tool boxes in the past. I am extremely happy with my new box from Extreme Tools; I should have bought this toolbox years ago. The quality of this tool box is second to none and the price is one ¼ that of the so called name brand tool truck tool boxes. One of the tool truck guy’s called me a trader when he seen my new box; I told him I shopped for quality and price and that he could not come close to either. I upgraded the wheels they are well worth the cost. My fellow coworkers are jealous of my new box; I wouldn’t be surprised to see a couple of them purchase an Extreme Tool Box from (strictlytoolboxes.com) The ordering and shipping process on the (strictlytoolboxes.com) web site is as easy as 1,2,3. I have pictures of my box on my phone whenever I go to one of our other shops; I proudly show them to my fellow co workers and promote the quality and price to them; it’s almost like I’m a salesman for Strictly Tool Boxes. I'm a Heavy Duty Technician and have been in the field for 4 years now. I stared with a Craftmans box and out grew it very quickly. I'm a person that hates to stack tools on top of each other. I had talk to the tool truck's and looked at craftsman again. Craftsman where not big enough for me and the wife wasn't going to let me spend 10k on a toolbox. I stumbled upon STB and found this tool box. It was perfect but i thought there was a catch. Did some research on it and found nothin bad. When the Box showed up some co-workers where mad because they had spent more money on the tool truck's and had a smaller box. I have no dislikes about the extreme tool box. I love the storage, size, and the quality of extreme tools. Proud to own the box. . I'm proud to be a owner of a extreme tools and will definitely recommend anyone looking for boxes to STB.com

I bought this tool box because it was what I can afford for a good price. I was looking at other brands but they were to much and you are paying for the name. I like my box and it has all room I needed for my tools. When it came to the shop I was happy the way it was covered for protection. There was only one problem and it has a defect on front of the toolbox,but you can't see it until you get ready close. I'm not a picky person. I would recommend to all my friends and techs out there! I own the production manufacturing facility, Evans Production Engineering Co. and the culture in manufacturing is to only purchase Kennedy Brand tool boxes. When the maintenance department approached me asking for a larger box I told them to Research the cost of a new box that will meet all of our requirements, and stay in budget. STRICTLY TOOL BOXES Provided all of the information and specifications needed to make a sound decision. And the Extreme Tools tool box Exceeded all requirements on paper. The order and delivery processeswent very smoothly. Strictly Tool Boxes provided clear shipping information and instructions for receiving the box. For the first time we are able to put all of the tools in one tools box, Including the 30" pipe wrench

Our program requires us to have some sort of toolbox and after bringing my box up to school it became clear that this tool box was far nicer than any of the 50 + tool box's on the service floor. Students here are quite impressed with the quality and blown away when I tell them what I paid for it. I Know of at least 7 people who plan on going with an extreme tool box in the future.

I purchased this toolbox for our farm shop. It has tons of storage space. Still looking for more tools to fill it up now. There was a rare issue with the delivery of the toolbox. It arrived on a different pallet than they originally pack it on. Most likely this was the fault of the delivery company. The tool box ended up having some dents and scrapes and the caster wheels had a few dings as well. In the end, I was offered a discount on the box and two new caster wheels. I was pleased with the way Strictly Tool Boxes and Extreme Tools handled this issue. I would refer a friend to purchase an extreme tools tool box from Strickly Tools Boxes.

I have had several Craftsman Professional tool boxes over the years. You can't even compare to this tool box. This is by far the nicest tool box I have ever owned. The double bearing drawers operate really smoothly, it is well engineered and well built. The only other tool boxes I have seen of this quality are $10,000 Snap On toolboxes. I was a car mechanic in my late teens. Now I own a company that builds and distributes water treatment equipment. I don't use the box heavily every day but I have a feeling this box will last me for the rest of my career

I UPGRADED THE CASTERS TO THE HEAVIER DUTY AND THATS A PLUS, IT MAKES IT SOO MUCH EASIER TO ROLL AROUND WHEN LOADED. ALSO I PURCHASED THE TOOL BOX COVER WITHOUT EVEN SEEING A PICTURE OF IT AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE BEST TOOLBOX COVER I SEEN. VERY WELL REINFORCED AND EASY TO PUT ON AND OFF, ALSO IT HAS MAGNETS TO HOLD IT UP WHEN YOU UNZIP THE FRONT TO GAIN ACCES TO THE TOOL BOX, IT ALSO HAS CUTOUTS FOR THE HANDLES ON BOTH SIDES. I BOUGHT AN EXTRA HANDLE AS WELL TO HANG MY JACKET, AIR HOSES, EXTENSION CORDS AND OTHER THINGS. MY FAVORITE FEATURE OF THE TOOL BOX IS THAT WHEN YOU OPEN THE DRAWERS THERE IS NO CRAZY FEATURE TO OPEN IT SUCH AS PULLING UP ON THE HANDLE OR SLIDDING A LOCK OVER AS YOU ARE TRYING TO OPEN THE DRAWER LIKE THE OTHER BRANDS, BUT THE DRAWERS DO HAVE A LOCKING FEATURE THAT KEEPS THEM LOCKED AS YOU ROLL THE TOOL CABINET AROUND. ALSO I HAVE MY DRAWERS VERY LOADED WITH TOOLS AND THEY SLIDE IN AND OUT WITHOUT A PROBLEM. THERE IS NOTHING I DISLIKE ABOUT THIS EXTREME TOOLS TOOLBOX SO FAR, I'M VERY HAPPY OVERALL. I've owned this extreme tools tool box for 4 months now, and I'm absolutely amazed at the quality of this tool cabinet. The drawers pull out all the way, giving you easy access to tools at the back of the drawer. The locking top drawer (top right) is perfect for writing notes, and info onto R.O.'s, in the event you have parts on top of the tool box, and the locking top on the drawer is very sturdy! The toolbox drawers are advertised to hold 250lbs max, and they live up to their names! They're extremely sturdy, don't wiggle and I don't think twice about them binding up while closing. Each drawer comes with its own liners, and the tool box comes with different detents for the drawers so you can modify the amount of pull you need to open the drawers. The details on this tool cabinet really make it worth the purchase alone, the drawer handles are screwed onto the drawers, and are one solid piece of metal. No sliding shiny covers, no locks that you have to slide to open the drawer, you don't have to lift up the handle to open the drawer, just pull. And these drawers by NO means will open on their own, or slowly creep open, the detents work perfectly. The toolbox has 6 caster wheels, making really maneuverable, and easy to roll. The handle that comes with the toolbox also makes moving it easier, the handle is like a bicycles handles, two bars with rubber grips, make it easy to get a good grip, and get the tool box to move where you want it to, which is helpful because when this tool cabinet is loaded, it gets pretty darn heavy! If I ever run out of space in this toolbox, I'd definitely purchase another and put it next to my current one. I was on the verge of spending $10,000 dollars on a similar tool box by another big brand, and am definitely glad I went with this tool cabinet. It's an amazing toolbox and I have no regrets purchasing it. I've had many techs from my dealership, and from neighboring dealers come and look at it, and all of them were impressed by the build quality of this tool cabinet. I'd definitely recommended they consider purchasing this toolbox from here, because of the amazing customer service strictly toolboxes offers, they treated me with respect, and were VERY courteous, and shipping/delivery was a breeze. I purchased the Montezuma MTZ-IM350 Toolbox and the Extreme Tools Tool box EX7217RC. What a surprise when out of the crate jumped this girl to help me with my tools :) :) , WOW! I used her for days to get all my tools straightened up, Shanon you are the man... LOL Shanon recommended the Montezuma for the organizational capabilities of the sockets and wrenches with such easy access, while recommending the Extreme for the rest of the Misc. tools. And he was absolutely right. One flick of the Montazuma's handle and it springs open giving you instant access to the most used tools in the shop. So, I placed it right on top of the Extreme box, In the Extreme box I placed everything else I can imagine would fit (Accept the girl) :( :( I spent days and days reading reviews and pricing different toolboxes, Strictly Toolboxes beat everyone's price even a guy on Ebay who couldn't deliver. They are built so well, I set the drawers like a staircase so that girl in the photo actually walked to the top of the toolchest using the drawers (I had to hold her for safety of course.. :) :) I also added the optional wheels, I call them spinners, I got them because they just make the box look even better.. Both tool boxes are rugged, heavy duty and seemingly bullet proof. Delivery was quick and punctual, communication from Strictly Tool Boxes about time of arrival and etc. was phenomenal. Their is only 2 things I can say to improve these toolboxes, 1) is if you made that bottom drawer 4 inches deeper I could fit that girl in there,,, :) and 2) The matting that comes from the factory in the Extreme drawers isn't the best, Once you have your tools all freakishly organized like I do, when you close the drawers they tend to slide back just a little each time with all your tools on them.. Its not a big deal it was just annoying to open my tool drawer and find the padding shifted back 1/4 inch.. Doesn’t seem to be enough friction in the rubber mating to hold them in place, however it was easily fixed by purchasing third party tool drawer padding.. I am a 10 year professional auto tech. I bought the 72" Extreme Tools Pro toolbox when I needed more toolbox space. I have previously owned truck brand toolbox's. I would have bought another toolbox off the truck, but I was having a hard time justifying the 10K price tag. For less than half the price I bought the Extreme toolbox. I have been using the toolbox daily for over a month now. The Extreme toolbox seams very well built and I don't feel it is any lower quality than a tool box off the tool truck. This is a very heavy and solid box, it takes some serious effort to move it around. Dealing with strictlytoolboxs.com was very pleasant, they were quick to return emails and calls. I had the toolbox less than a week after ordering it. The toolbox came on a heavy wooden pallet in a wooden crate. It was very well packaged. The finish of the tool box is very nice, the paint has a nice glossy look to it. The drawer handles have a very solid quality feel to them. The drawer slides are smooth, even on my heaviest loaded drawers. The included stainless top makes a nice work surface, and I have yet to dent it. One feature that would make the top a bit nicer would be a raised edge on the front to prevent tools from rolling off. The locking system works better than any other toolbox I have owned. The drawers have spring loaded catches on them so if the toolbox is locked with a drawer open, the drawer can still be shut and locked. My only serious complaint with the toolbox is the detent system used to keep the drawers shut. They are very stiff and it takes a solid push and pull to shut and open the drawers. Each time I do this all the tools in the drawer slide back and forth. The drawer liners are run of the mill foam liners and not very tacky. Overall I am very happy with the toolbox for the money paid. I feel this is a toolbox that will last a long time even in a daily use situation.

I am very impressed with this tool cabinet. It is very well made and the quality easily compares to the big name toolbox companies that are two or three times the cost. I have passed your name on to 6-8 people that are looking to buy and can't believe the quality for the price.

Great tool box. Had a slight problem with the locks nothing major. What I was most impressed with was the service. Delivery was great. I had a nice driver. I think he was just as anxious as me to see the toolbox, he was very helpful. If your thinking about buying this tool cabinet and can't afford it, don't feel bad about getting the cheaper one. This one is a tank! The cheaper one is only 100lb less I have a felling I would've of been happy with that one as well, but I don't regret buying this one. Good Luck

I ordered the tool box and it came in 5 days packaged like it was family heirloom. After I opened it, I couldn't believe the quality of the paint job, the thickness of the metal, I compared it to my coworkers tool boxes which are all the other brands that cost 2 or 3 times more and I wouldn't trade mine for any of them. This is by far the nicest toolbox with add on components available if needed to create the "Ultimate Monster Box". I e-mailed a message requesting information and within 1/2 hour I recieved a phone call giving me the information I requested. The service was awesome. I don't know if I'll ever need another tool box, but if I do I'd buy it here, as I shopped other vendors and nobody could beat the price here.

Let me start by telling you I have been an ASE professional Automotive Technician for 14 years. My prior Tool box was a Mxc toolbox, and the majority of my tools are Mxc, Sxxx-Ox, and Maxxo. My Mxx box was overfilled with all the tools I bought over the years and it was time to upgrade. I shopped Sxxx-Ox and Mxxxo for approx 2 years, waiting for that GREAT deal on a DREAM box that never came around. Even though they were giving me double in trade in value of what my Mxc box cost originally, it was still going to cost me approx $5500-$7000 for the toolbox I wanted. I decided to search the Net to see what other alternatives were out there. I believe in Quailty foremost, while my Mxc toolbox lasted 12 years and still worked great, I did not want to by any junk. I searched the cxxxxman Professional line of tool boxes, but there toolboxes are almost as expensive as the Big three. Then I found out about Extreme Toolboxes. It sound like a great deal, but how is the quality?? Made in China? I had read a lot of reviews found here and on Garage Journal, and everyone who has bought this tool box has spoken VERY highly about it. So I called Shannon on Tuesday Morning, whipped out the plastic and gave it a shot. To be honest, I was not very excited about it, and I wasn't expecting anything special. I figured I was settling for the cheapest I could find. He said it would be at my Dealership no latter then Friday of the same week, and it was. Shipping was great. This tool box was packaged Great! The Fed Ex guy said he delivered a lot of Sxxx-Ox tool boxes and none of them were ever packaged that good. After I removed everything and seen the Extreme Tools toolbox, I said Holy Sh*t, this thing is big! I opened and closed a couple of drawers, and thought I had bought a Mxxco Box! This tool cabinet is built like a tank! The drawers slide great, close tightly. Paint is nice and smooth and clean, and NO SPOT WELDS!!! Every top of the line toolbox I had ever seen always had ugly spot welds on the front of the drawers, but hey what do you expect for $15000. Everyone in the shop was extremely impressed with the toolbox, and the PRICE!. Now, it might not be the best quality toolbox ever made, but I can tell you it's just as good as a Mxc, Sxxx-On, or Mxxxo Tool Box for 1/3 the price. It is the best, smartest purchased I have ever made. I will say if you are a Professional Mechanic and looking for a new tool box, don't hesitate to buy this tool box.

After looking at toolboxes, I decided to go with extreme 72 inch tool box. I couldn't be happier with this tool cabinet, it was everything I expected and more. Each drawers are very big and very solid, . I would recommend it to anyone, it has the same quality as the big name toolboxes but 1/2 the price.

WOW, what a tool box

So i bought this tool cabinet out of spite. The tech that works next to me just spent over $5000 on a 56" Sxxx Ox toolbox. That was in addition to $2000 for his trade in. I wanted to make him jealous. I think it worked. When I saw his Sxxx Ox tool box I was disappointed in its quality. They are nothing like they were in the past. The drawers sag and there is handles are crap. When my Extreme Tools toolbox was droped off I was blown away. If it wasn't for the logo i would have sworn it was a Mxxxxo. The drawer look almost the same as dose the layout. The action on the drawers is mostly smooth but they are a bit hard to close to the lock position and it takes some force to open when loaded. I think this will loosen up with some use. The slides seem like there high quality. All the drawers except the shallow ones have 2 slides per side. This is more than i can say for the Sxxx Ox that has 2 on the top drawer and one on all the rest. The drawer pulls look great but are attached by screws from the inside. This wouldn't be a problem except the drawer front is double wall and theirs a small empty space in it. I'm worried that they may loosen up after time. I don't think this will be a problem that cant be fixed with a screwdriver. The stainless steel top was nice and solid but it is not smooth. It feels like brushed aluminum. I think its going to stain easily. It is also totally flat, there no lip on the front to keep a socket from rolling off. As for the frame itself it is very solid. I have not removed the drawrs to inspect the inside but from the outside it looks great. The finish if perfect. It looks as good as any toolbox i have seen. I got the closeout 2007 model and it didn't have the spring loaded casters. It would have been nice but not worth the $450 price tag. I think i can find them for less. All in all this is by far the best tool box for the price. I'm my opinion this is as good or better than any of the big three tool truck brands. There's about 40 or 50 people and they all were amazed at the quality and no one could believe the price i payed. All the thing i mentioned were more for clarification that the pictures don't show. If you get this tool cabinet you will be happy.

Everyone who has seen my toolbox really likes it, even my "Sxxx-Ox" dealer likes it but is upset that I didn't buy a tool box from her for three times the price. I Purchased one of the 2007 closeout tool boxes and was "extremely worried", this is three times more money than I have ever spent on a tool box. I had never seen an Extreme tool box. It took me 2 weeks debating the issue to decide to make the purchase, and it took 5 days for shipping after my purchase and I was worried I had wasted $3,000. I ordered "Blue" and let me tell you when I pulled that crate off the truck and opened it, everyone at work and a few truckers that were in are shop having repairs done and even the delivery driver waited around to see it, they all said if they could give their children 1 x-mas gift in their life that would lite their face up the way mine lit up when I opened the crate their life would be complete. Each morning when I get to work I love seeing that tool box. We have guys with Sxxx-xn, Mxc, Mxxxo and Wxxxxloo tool boxes and none of them compare in quality, let alone value. I plan to add on to this tool cabinet in the future but I cannot see ever replacing it. This tool cabinet is everything Shannon promised me and more, I would recommend it to anyone who really wants a high quality toolbox and never thaught they would be able to afford one. We have 1 guy in our shop with a $24,000. Mxxxo toolbox that was custom built and he cried when I told him what mine cost. I am very impressed with all aspects of the quality of this tool cabinet.
